Hydie's POV
All it took was one sentence and Jonah was on his way to my house. All I said was, "Hey Jo, I've been having a bad day," and I could hear a car door opening in the background.
Not even 5 minutes after our very short phone call, the doorbell rings. I open it and, sure enough, Jonah is on the front porch. I open the door wider, letting him in. I shut the door behind me and turn around to see Jonah with his arms wide open.
"Who hurt my babygirl?" He asks as I walk into him arms. We hug for what feels like an eternity, not needing anything but each other.
We finally let go of each other and he looks down at me.
"You can talk to me about it, baby," He whispers before placing a quick kiss to my forehead.
"I don't really want to talk about it," I sigh. He nods and takes my hand in his before pulling me into the kitchen. "What are we doing?" I giggle. He doesn't say anything as I walks over to the island. He lifts me up and sits me down on top of it before standing in between my legs. He twirls the ends of my long blonde hair as he looks down at me. It's fully how, even while I'm sitting on an island, he's still taller than me.
"What cheers Hydie up when she's having a bad day?" He asks, looking at me.
"Kisses," I smirk. He laughs as he pecks my lips a few times.
"What else?" He asks.
"Cookies!" I smile. He taps the tip of my nose before turning around and getting to work on making cookies.
After putting the cookies in the oven, he stands in between my legs again. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer.
"I love you," I whisper, placing my lips onto his. His hands go around my waist. We stay like this for a while before we're broken up by the oven beating. He pulls away and takes the cookies out of the oven as I make my way to the living room. I turn the TV on and wait for Jonah to join me. Seconds later, he walks in with a plate full of cookies and a class of milk.
"This is why you're the best boyfriend ever," I giggle as he lays down. His head rests on my lap and he rests the plate of cookies on his stomach. I run my fingers through his beautiful brown hair as he puts on our favorite TV show. We stay like this for hours, laughing, eating cookies, and just enjoying each other's presence.
And in the time I'm with him, I forget about the thing that was bothering me. Because Hydie was with Jonah. And the world was just Hydie and Jonah. No troubles, no pain, just Hydie and Jonah.
