*Anika's POV*
"Where are we going?" I giggle as I follow Zach to the lake behind his house. He doesn't answer me as he pulls me onto the deck. We stop at the edge of the deck where a blanket covers something. Zach reaches over and takes the blanket off. He grabs a bouquet of 24 roses. He hands them to me, a smile evedent on both of our faces. My brown hair falls from behind my ear as I smell the roses, one of the smelled like fabric. I play with it realizing it's fake. Zach pushes my hair back behind my ear.
"I, Zachary Dean Herron, promise to love you until the day the last rose dies," He tells me. I smileas my eyes water.
"Anika, you've made the last 2 years we've spent together the best of my life. 24 months I've spent with you, hence the 24 roses." He reaches down to grab something from a bag right beside him. He holds the contents behind him. I get curiouser by the second.
"I know we're young, and some might say too young, but I can't imagine my life without you. I love you so much, Anika." He gets down on one knee and opens a small ring box which he was hiding behind his back. Tears stream down my face.
"Will you marry me?" He asks, looking up at me. I nod frantically as he stands up and slides the ring on my finger. I admire it for a second before pulling him into a hug.
"I love you, Anika," He smiles, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I love you too, Zach," I smile, looking up at him. He leans down and places his lips on mine.
