It had been about four months since I had come back from St. Mungo's. But now, ever since I had come back to Hogwarts after our entire year had heard about my incident, wasn't fun. Now the entire school knew, and I didn't even have one of my friends to walk with me to class. Daphne offered, but I declined, as she would have been late as well.
I saw Umbridge smile at my arrival walking back into class. I look at the desk next to me, it was unoccupied.
Where was Draco?
"Take a seat, Miss Potter. You're 20 minutes late. What's your excuse?" I kept my head down and my books close to my chest as to avoid any eye contact with anyone. I took a seat next to Harry and sighed.
"I had a lesson with Professor Dumbledore."
"Well, your lateness has earned you a spot in detention. During dinner, the usual time."
I grumbled and got my books, quill, and ink out of my satchel bag.
"I expect you have your homework completed?"
I gave the stack of parchment to her without even looking up at the toad once.
"Well done. But you forgot that there was to be no mention of examples of the unforgivable curses in the third essay, which again, was about how to theoretically defend yourself in dangerous situations. 10 points from Gryffindor."
I didn't bother saying anything, keeping my head down, not wanting to cause anymore trouble with the rest of my house and possibly me getting another detention from her.
The medication I had to be taking was making me nauseous, ever since they started giving it to me, no matter how many other potions they brewed, or charms they cast, nothing else worked except these tablets of stomach hell. I was vomiting, almost every 2 hours, and I was miserable.
My stomach rolled, and grumbled. It starting burning again like it always did. Harry gave me a nudge.
"Stomach hurt again?"
I nodded quickly, and shot my hand up in the air.
"Yes, Miss Potter?"
"Can I please be excused for the restroom?"
"You have already disturbed my class once by coming in late, and do your essay wrong. Now you want permission to leave?"
The acid was churning up, getting ready again. I didn't have time for Umbridge to mess with me.
"Please Professor, it's an emergency." I grabbed a handful of my cardigan, along with my tie, my feet were scrunched and balled up. My nails were digging into my palms again, ad the burning sensation continued.
"What kind of emergency?"
I had about 30 seconds.
"Professor, please. Unless you want vomit on your floor."
"I don't believe you."
Harry looked over at me, as I was struggling to deal with this yet again. I hadn't had to leave her class for this yet, but I guess today was the day.
Hermione spoke up. "Let her go! She's been miserable all day, Professor!"
15 seconds.
She paused, and finally nodded toward the door, to which I ran desperately out of. I stumbled past Astoria, who looked like she'd been doing some intense snogging. Her face flushed of colour, and went whiter than her usual tan self. Astoria quickly walked past me, avoiding eye contact.
That was strange.
I ran into one of the stalls, and for the third time today, I emptied out my stomach's contents. My throat burned again, and I felt awful.
