A/N: Hey there, my lovelies! Told you I'd be back with a surprise. The final poem for Pinctada is yet to come.

And here it is, now.

Take a moment and just... stop.

On borrowed time, you?

Why?

To hold on a little longer,
A little harder?

Different ways I know now
To find out life's little
laws,

Yet

All they've taught me
Is being patient,
As life unfolds
My destined
path.

So,

Embrace your armour.
Kiss every risk.
Time your play.
The best dream
Doesn't just happen.

And that includes us.

Somewhere along the way,
pray do tell me -

When the nights were dark,
so meant to vanish
before the dawn
could cushion;

Against every time
I was shown the inky nights,
finally feeling the air
beneath,

You flit right through the cracks
like a ray of hope,
finding for what
wasn't yours.

Until one day,
without a thought,
you left behind everything
with a promise to return.

And yet why is it
I'm still waiting for you,
knowing that you were
an angel with skin,

Not meant to stay
beyond dawn?

I still remember

Every moment our eyes met, I could only see, amidst nothing, a fire
I could drown you in.

If only I knew how to do it - to break free my demons from loving your
essence, with scars to keep.

It was now or never to find a way to survive today, save you
and do it.

And I did.

Hope is a fickle friend
while agony, vain;
both are paths
strayed by
the sane.

But love was beyond it all.

And there will never be a need
for another dime with
our very souls
burning -
your soul,
afterall, bargain
that promises could be kept too.

With your promise
above the invisible skies
of my skin, and winds now at war,
stepping over toes were best console
by a ruthless, thwarting man
with an incomplete story.

And here we are today, at the end of the line.

Acceptance was my way,
Enigma was yours.

Blessings were my safety net,
Champagne was yours.

Inevitable was my fate,
Aftermath was yours.

Embrace was my forte,
Expression was yours.

Stone was my decision,
Dagger was yours.

Sanity was my dream,
Us was yours.

Alone was my solution,
Die was yours.

And in a twirl of oblivion we
somehow danced ourselves into the
night, you as mine and
me as yours.

As we hold hands in this moment, I vow to never forget...

Happiness
is gone before you know it,
and so is life.

I knew that you weren't okay...
Heart replayed sentiments,
danced to the tunes of tonight...
let matter and fantasies breed magic.

We fight, we make up,
a battle in itself, just to let
last a fruit so sweet, it was surreal...
everything lost at sea is found!

Because now finally,

There's always a diamond where
I can find hope in its embrace,
to come home to everyday,
and into my heart only once.

A/N: This poem has been strung from the 8 Akoya moments in this book to finally string a necklace of verses in the form of P-I-N-C-T-A-D-A.

Do let me know how you love this one, I still have a couple of announcements more to go. ❤
