(I'm just now realizing how much I'm making Tsumugi sound like Maki my god.)
(EDIT: I needed to correct some of the mistakes here, it's been bugging me.)
Nobody's POV
Meanwhile, Tsumugi eyes perked open. She had heard a faint whisper in her dreams. A whisper that was familiar to her. She quickly realized that her surroundings were different from her previous location "I thought you might do something like this..." she smiled "Well throw me all you got! I won't be afraid, he wanted me to be brave!" she said taking out her knife "I'll get us all outta here!" she yelled into the air thinking that she might hear it.
She packed her blanket, took out a knife and started looking around while tightly gripping the necklace. She soon heard a couple of steps behind her. She quickly looked back. A young girl. Tsumugi couldn't tell who she was until she came closer. Her eyes widened, why did she have to encounter her?
Natsuki.
"Hihihi~ Hello Tsumugi!" she said in her happy voice. She had dark orange hair in a ponytail with a red bow bounding it. She wore a light blue sweater with a white stripe. Her purple eyes now turned into a crazed neon pink color. Her delicate skin scarred and bruised from barbed wire and with some cuts possibly self-inflicted, which made her look even creepier. Tsumugi really didn't want to hurt her crush's 9-year-old sister. It felt wrong even in this sort of circumstance.
"Are you looking for my brother? But, today's not Thursday... no geography less-oh sorry- EXCUSES today." she giggled. Tsumugi blushed slightly but kept her composure "What do you mean excuses twerp? Natsuki, your sisters are worried about you at home." Natsuki just smiled "They're worried about me NOW?! How absolutely sweet of them! They sure as hell didn't care before! And what do I mean by excuses? I mean that you never had problems with geography! You just wanted to see my brother, huh? What made you think he'll ever love you?" she giggled to which Tsumugi started sweating from nervousness.
"H-He told me I was special! A-And that I shouldn't think of myself as a worthless plain girl!" she stuttered out, trying to keep her confidence. Natsuki's eyes drifted a bit to Tsumugi's side "Well, let's ask him, he's right behind you after all~..." she said pointing behind her. Tsumugi looked back and her eyes widened beyond belief.
Rantaro stood there, a small knife in her hand.
"Rantaro...?" she whispered out, as she watched her crush stand there. That knife he carried looked like the one they brought to this forest. Has she... has she killed one of her friends? Tsumugi's confidence started cracking as she watched pink eyes give her a look of boredom.
"You thought all those things I said about you were true? Of course, you're just a worthless disappointment." he laughed slightly. Tsumugi gripped the silver necklace around her neck as tight as she could "But then why did you sa-" "Oh that? If you really think I meant it, then would I do this?" Rantaro said as he pushed Tsumugi back and snatched her knife. Tsumugi wanted to stand up but felt as Rantaro pressed his foot on her chest. Rantaro leaned down lightly, his face closer to Tsumugi's.
"Even so... even if you're so plain... you have the most beautiful despair hidden behind that foolish hope of yours. How I wish I could see it." he said, taking Tsumugi's jaw in his hand and looking into his her eyes with sadistic happiness. His other hand, holding the knife was on Tsumugi's cheek, slowly cutting into it. Tsumugi hissed in pain as Rantaro slowly made the cut. "But unfortunately, you'll have to die now. So long, Shirogane..." he removed the knife from Tsumugi's cheek and started to bring it closer to Tsumugi's neck, never breaking eye contact with her. He brought it closer to her...
