You may have all heard the story of "Beauty and the Beast". How the beast turns back into a human when they both learn to fall in love with each other, and they have a happily ever after. But what if I told a different story, a story that has a vampire prince, a jealous witch, a terrible curse, vampire hunters, bloodbaths and so much more. If you want to read about a beast and a girl then leave, if you wanna read about a vampire and a human then stay. Well, our story takes place in the old country of Russia back in the 1800's.
Once upon a time, in a faraway land of Russia, a young vampire prince name Vladimir lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired Vladimir was spoiled, selfish and unkind.
But then, one winter's night a young beggar woman came to the castle to seek shelter from the bitter cold. Vladimir was a ladies man so he let the woman in, but little did he know that the beggar woman was actually a witch.
A month went by and the witch fell in love with Vladimir, but Vladimir didn't love her in return. Suddenly the young woman saw the prince flirting with one of the maids; the witch became jealous and wanted revenge on the prince for stealing her heart.
The Witch invited the prince for a little picnic out in the garden with all the red roses blooming in the early spring. The witch told Vladimir about her feelings toward him, told the prince that she was with child, his child, and offered him a single rose so he can marry her and be a family. Repulsed by her question, the prince sneered at the gift, he ordered the guards to take the witch to the dungeon and to be torture.
After a week had gone, the witch was beaten, bruised, and broken both physically, and emotionally. But what's worse, she had lost her unborn child during her time being torture and was thrown out of the castle. The prince stood outside the steps where the guards through the witch onto the ground. The Witch saw her reflection in the puddle, her face was covered in blood and dirt. She was no longer beautiful as she once was, but there was a bigger hold in her heart that could never be filled again.
"Why..." She said. "Why did you do this to me? To our child?" She turned her gaze to the prince and glared. "WHAT KIND OF A PRINCE TORCHERES A WOMAN WHO COMMITTED NO CRIME, BUT SPOKE THE TRUTH, AND KILLING HER UNBORN CHILD?!" She cried out. "I...I thought you loved me..." Whimpering to herself.
"I never loved you," Vladimir said with a hateful stare. "You were just another woman to keep my bed warm for me. I think that's what you women are good for anyway."
The witch snapped as something broke into millions of pieces; slowly she stood up but limped a bit as she glared at the prince. "You...will pay for this...I swear on my unborn child, you will suffer greater than the death of my child." After she spoke a gray fog of smoke circled around her, covering her whole, till she disappeared into thin air.

Then one night the witch returned to the castle, but more powerful than she was ever before. Vladimir tried to apologize, but it was too late for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. And as for revenge she cast a curse on him a death spell and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. Ashamed of his true self the vampire concealed himself inside his castle with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
If he could to love another and earn her love in return before the sun sets after 5 years had passed then the curse can be lifted. If not, he would be doomed to death.
Vladimir fell into despair and lost all hope for who could ever learn to love a vampire?
