Kira's sudden death was a shock to everyone... not least himself. One moment he was attacked by a vampire who threaten to kill everyone, but one girl made offered her life to him, waking-up with full recovered, and the next he was killed by his own father. "A tragic loss." His mind echoed numbly as he slipped away with his brother cradling him in his arms, crying ever so softly. Tear drops fell down on Kira's pale cheek, his eyes were lifeless, but closed shut. Kirill cried all night with Kira in his arms, crying for the loss of his brother, his best friend.

The funeral was attend by family, the hunter society, and the entire village. The priest was reading out loud from the bible. "We commit the body of Kira to the earth and pray that his soul find everlasting peace." Everlasting peace? How would Kira find everlasting peace when was murdered in cold blood by his own father?!

That thought made Kirill's blood boil causing to make his fist into a ball. Kirill looked around to find William no where in sight. Kirill knew that William would never attend a vampire's funeral... even if it's his own son's funeral. All the girl's that were Kirill's age cried for Kira, the guys had their hats off, bowing their heads in respect. After the priest was done reading everyone began tossing Amaranth. A type of deep-nued purple flower used as a metaphor for immortality.

Soon the men began pouring dirt into the hole were the coffin laid still. Once the hole was filled everyone left, except Kirill who stood there like a statue. On the tombstone laid the written words carved into the stone. "Kira Ragsdale. 1786 - 1807. A good friend, a great hunter, a loving brother and son." At the bottom of the stone written in bold letters. "Dlya blaga chelovechestva" (For the good of Mankind).

Kirill hated that phrase, he hated everything; he even hated his father. Kirill knet down by the stone. "Don't worry brother, I will avenge your death. I promise." He said, he stood up and began walking toward home. Disappearing behind the head of tombstones.

Mean while at the pub. Gaston was sitting at the far end of the table. He derision about losing his bride to a vampire. He grumbled to himself, livid towards Alina mostly, but also Vlad.

William walked into the pub, saw Gaston sitting at the far end of the room. He made his way to the table and sat down beside Gaston. Gaston gave him a soar look on his face. "What do you want old man?" He snarled.

"I am here to give a special job."

"I'm not in the mood for hunting." Gaston said taking a huge gulp of his beer. William held up his hand.

"Let me finish. I was gonna tell you that this special job requires killing a vampire and bring back your bride." William said. Gaston paused in the middle of his drink, set the jug down, and paid more attention.

"And how will I kill the vampire?" Gaston said in a hash tone.

"We'll gather all the vampire hunters in the village, march over to the vampire's castle on the day of the blood moon." Gaston arched his eyebrows.

"Why on that day? You know it's unholy to go off hunting on a blood moon." William smirk.

"Exactly, my friend." William said as he dug through his bag, and brought out a old dusty brown leather book.

"What the heck is this?"

"This, Gaston is the solution to our problems." He flipped the pages of the book till it came to page of a drawing of the blood moon and a vampire cowering from it. "Legends says that the blood moon sucks everything living vampire's powers making them weak. Totally powerless."

"So you're saying that when the blood moons raises, it makes them powerless."

"Exactly. This type of information can get the revenge I want and win back your bride." William said, Gaston grin. "So are you in? Will you help me bring down this royal vampire?"

Gaston brought out his best hunting knife, lead it high in the air, and slammed it down on the table. The idea brought him a felicity that he had never knew. "Count...me...in." Gaston said. William smiled at him.
