Bree looked down at the dog, admiring it. It was cute, she admitted to herself, but it was too much for her because it reminded her of Melly. Mel would've loved a dog like this. She would often mention it to Bree saying that it was her favorite breed.

Bree watched as the dog took in Sam's face questioning the food he had given her. "What should we name her?" Sam signed to Bree. Bree had one name in mind but did not say it out loud. "Don't know." She replied. "We could call her Melly — since Dean and Cas are out getting food." Sam signed to her, looking a little nervous.

"I won't mind," Bree said to him. "Just nervous because of Dean's reaction. He can be..." Sam looked up at her from laying on the floor, one elbow propped up. The dog came around to him sniffing him after leaving half of the its food in its bowl. "Tough?" Sam finished for her. "Not exactly, I can never find a word for him." Shannel admitted.

"You and Mel both, she really liked Dean though when she was... She treated him like an older brother." Sam said slowly, looking as if he was focusing on old memories. "I know she didn't treat you the same." Bree divulged. Sam's face lit up. "They were the best parts of being with her; I got to enjoy a side of myself I never knew." He admitted.

"What do you mean?" She asked him as she tilted her head in confusion. "Well, she made me find myself... in a different way. More confident." He disclosed. Bree smiled at that, Mel had a way of making people talk to her even though she didn't talk often. "That definitely sounds like her." She said.

As Bree sat back on the couch relaxing, Sam's mind to unravel on his first memories of Melly moving into the bunker. She was nervous as he led her to his room. He had told her he was going to sleep with Dean or alternate the couch with Cas. Melly only looked up at him with her brown eyes and nodded, seemingly sure of herself.

It was only until later he would find out why she was suddenly so confident in that moment. One night, as she was getting ready for bed, Sam had walked in on her in the middle of her getting ready to take off her shirt. As he stared for one second, he could see her jump—a slow reaction to having been caught. As she turned around in surprise, he quickly realized it wasn't the undressing she was worried about, it was the blue paci in her mouth.

Sam's eyes had went from confusion to curiosity. "I'm-I'm so sorry." He said in a lame attempt of an apology. Melly was saying something but had forgotten that the paci was in her mouth and spit it out irregardless, even if she was coming half naked to him with only a shirt on and underwear. "I—I didn't expect you to —" She stammered. Sam has the feeling she was going to say more but then he'd uttered another apology and shut the door on her.

It was only the next few days after he had taken the time to look it up on the laptop did he know what she was doing with the paci—to be honest, it piqued his curiosity and interested him why she was like that. He did see her write letters often to Shannel and her few friends and maybe an ex or two. Were they her Daddy or was only one of them were?
