"You can do this!" Sonakshi took long breaths. "But if something goes wrong ... Bappa bacha lena."

Remembering the almighty, Sonakshi pressed the open button of the lift.

She had not returned Dev's keys. She could not return Dev's keys! She had to do some research... for the sake of her curiosity!

The lift moved up with it's usual speed but every second was testing Sona's patience. It stopped on her destined floor and she took small steps out of the lift.

She looked at the number on the key.

729

She looked for the house with the same number and within a minute she was standing outside Dev's home.

She inserted the key in it's lock. It was greasy with all the sweat from Sona's tight hand hold.

"Here we go."

She took another long breath and pushed open the door. She walked into the house. It was pitch black inside. She looked around for the switch board and switched the light on.

Dev's hall faced her in it's full glory. It was well furnished and well organised. In a sharp contrast from her father's house, Dev's house was a little over done. Almost every inch of the walls was covered with paintings. They were not master pieces of any kind; just colourful patterns, swirling circles or pitch black painted canvas.

"Jitna confusing ye insan hai, waisi hi iski art hai." Sonakshi said. "I better start ..."

And it was then when she realised that she didn't knew what she was looking for.

She just sat on the dining table for a while, peeped into his fridge, inspected the kitchen. She was trying to take in the feeling of living in his house. She had imagined herself living the rest of her life, right here in his house. She had imagined even the tiniest bit of their future together. She had wondered how his house looked and when she was finally in it, it took so much effort and pain to remind her that she couldn't belong there.

There would be no day when she would come back from work with a major headache and Dev would rub her temple or never would she and Dev rush their breakfasts and leave for work together. They would never come back from a gym, sweating and yelling to stay away because they stinked, they wouldn't drink coffee together in the balcony on a rainy day, there wouldn't be impromptu late night, long drives. His would never be the first face to welcome her morning.
