The Sangeet ended on a happy note. The minutes were moving forward slowly and the day of their wedding had almost arrived. Bliss and nervousness was making their way in the hearts' of DevAkshi. Ecstatic emotions captured each heart as the night was over and the dawn of the haldi ceremony was about to knock on their door.

The night was restless for both Dev and Sonakshi. Sonakshi couldn't get any sleep and Dev rolled over his bed reading Tips to flatter your wife. He dozed off in mid way.

Sonakshi was looking at every corner of her room. She would soon be leaving it. The room had been her partner in every phase of her life. She loved writing by the light of her night lamp. How could she make another place her writing spot?

Knock knock

"Sona di?"

Naina, Preeti and Swati came inside the room.

"Tum log soye nahi?" Sonakshi asked them.

"Ha hum to kab ke so gaye. Neend me chalte chalte aaye hai yaha." Preeti said.

"Aaj toh seedhi tarah baat kar le." Swati scolded her.

Naina sat next to Sonakshi. No one said anything for a while. The parting emotions were turning out to be heavy on all four of them. They had lived as sisters. Sonakshi was like a guiding figure in the girls' life.

"Aapka beech me ek mahina Shimla jana zaroori tha kya?" Naina side hugged Sonakshi. "Aapko pata bhi hai hum aapko kitna miss karte the! Abhi aap permanently chale jaaoge."

Preeti and Swati too joined in the group.

"Accha when I'll leave, you guys can use my room, jaise tumhara man kare." Sonakshi held back her own tears.

"Aapka room nahi chahiye." Naina cried and Sona didn't need her to complete the sentence. Even she would miss all three of them.

"I'll miss you guys." Sona looked at all three of them with tear filled eyes.

"Hum to nachenge aapke bina." Preeti was a little cross. "Ladkiyan hi kyu chod ke jaaye apna ghar?"

"Naari mukti morcha ki agli head yahi banegi." Naina slapped Preeti's head.

"Jiju ko bolte hai yahi shift ho jaaye!" Swati got excited with her own idea.

"Naina, Preeti, Swati ab ghar zyadatar khali hoga iska matlab ye nahi hai ki tumlog Sameer-Munna-Pandit ke saath yaha hang out karoge. Mujhe pata hai tum log bahut smart ho lekin zyada freedom milne par udne mat lagna. I love all three of you and mujhe tumhari koi bhi complain nahi chahiye." Sonakshi tried to give sisterly advice but it did no benefit to the hearts already aching with the upcoming seperation.

"Maa ka dhyan rakhna." Sonakshi had a lump in her throat.

The girls nodded.

"Bela Chachi ke tinde bina complain ke khana."

"Mai to apne tinde Pandit ko de aati hu." Preeti chuckled.

"Aapko pata hai Sona di, mujhe bhi aapka Sangeet host karna tha par Nisha di ne humein daant ke bhaga diya." Naina complained.

"Accha tere sangeet ki hosting tu khud karegi. Done?" Sona teased her. Naina didn't get it and nodded her head. The other three couldn't even smile properly, the last few hours of the night were spent chatting, remembering old times, crying and consoling and then laughing at each other and with each other.

Sonakshi felt blessed. There was nothing more that she wished for.

The next morning, the Haldi Ceremony was about to start. The entire house was drenched in the hues of yellow. Everyone was wearing the colours of turmeric. The house was decorated with the auspicious marigold. Elder women were singing multi-linguistic folk songs of weddings.
