"Get up honeysuckle!" Amanda, my sister said. I got up noticing I had missed the sunrise. Maybe I shouldn't have been out that late. I walked to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for the family.
Happily, my mom said, "Mmm eggs, bacon, and toast! Best breakfast ever!!"
I replied with, "The bacon is made just how you like it mum, nice and crispy."
I finished making breakfast and set the table for everyone. I didn't eat because I didn't find it necessary, but I did sit at the table and have a morning chat with the family.
"Soo, have you guys heard about that girl? I really hope she's ok because last night she wasn't in good shape at all," I said.
"What girl?"
Mom did all the talking and it seemed weird because nobody would make eye contact with me and you could tell mom wasn't very happy about me asking. Or maybe she wasn't happy that I knew about the girl.
"There was a girl that I helped last night. Her leg was broken and she was in the woods by the river. Mum, didn't you see the missed call from me?"
"Why would you have called me? I was here all night. There was no girl in the woods, sweets."
"I called you because nobody was home when I woke up last night and how would you know there wasn't a girl in the woods?"
There was a pause and mom just stared into my eyes with a frown. Soon she smiled and told me breakfast was good and she'd clean the kitchen. I had to take a deep breath to calm myself because mom wouldn't answer me. I left the kitchen and went to my bed hoping to find everything I need in there. I kept telling myself it would all be over soon when I knew I still had three years in the house.
An hour later I walked to the hospital hoping to find the girl from last night.
"She came here last night and had a broken leg. She was about my age and height and was almost passed out. Do you think she's here?"
"Let me check the files," the nurse replied. She left the room and talked with other nurses. She soon came back with papers and began looking through them.
"Ah, yes! Her name is Olivia Tryson and she was found in the woods. Can you believe that?!"
She started to laugh a little and showed me what room Olivia was in. She was watching TV and it was just my luck that she was watching Supernatural. I walked in and gave her a smile.
"Hey, are you doing okay?"
"Yeah I think so. Aren't you the one who helped me?"
"Yes. By the wayyy.. you have great taste in TV."
We laughed a little and began to get to know each other. We exchanged phone numbers and I told her to call me anytime. I soon left and wished her well. I headed home and set an alarm to watch the sunrise.
