I look up and find him standing by my feet. Just as beautiful as the first time I met him.
"Hello," he starts to say. "You still responsive?"
"Uh- I- I mean yeah. Yes, I'm fine"
I can't believe it. Its as if I thought of him and he appeared. How? Is it really my doing or did he see me? I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. I need something to start this off with.
"Who are you?"
"Hmph. Not even a simple hello," I can't fathom how smooth the syllables just roll of his tongue. "You summon me here and all you have is saltiness?"
"I'm sorry, I'm Alex. What do you me by summon-"
"Alex," he raised his eyebrow with intense, but sexy, curiosity.
I waited for him to reply, but he seemed to be too fixated on taking in all my details. A few moments passed before he said anything.
"I know you from somewhere.."
"Yeah, we met this morning. You had me hide in a bush from my family."
"Well Alex, what did you need?"
"Answers, first of all. To questions everybody seems to avoid."
"Let me guess. Who am I? My name is Elijah. What was I doing this morning? Running from hunters, who happen to allegedly be your family. Although, I don't see any resemblance. I live within nature and I- wait.. Who are you? Not just names and basics. I need to know everything you know."
"I'm Alex. That's all there is to it."
"Do not lie to me. You're accent isn't from around here, its like mine. That blue in your hair, is it from my residue? It wasn't there this morning. That isn't normal. Also, you summoned me. No one has had that ability since the 1800s war times. The hunters went on a spree and killed off every faerie with that ability. Hunters. You live with them. Are you working with them?"
All this mumbo jumbo about abilities and hunters was confusing me. I had no idea what the hell he was talking about.
"You lose responsiveness again?"
"Look, I don't know what you mean with anything you're saying. Faeries? Hunters? What abilities?"
He then looked at me with a confused, in awe expression. He was examining me more, but in a more extensive way. He began to speak again.
"You don't know? Well if you don't know, you have to find these answers yourself. I can't help you."
"Please? No one will tell me anything. Not even you and you seem to be the only that will even talk to me."
"Look Alex," oh the way he pronounces my name is electrifying. "You seem to be the kind of person to be repetitive with your actions so I take it you're here every morning, yes?"
"Yeah."
"Well I'll come the mornings that I'm free. I can't give you the answers you need, but you can talk to me about it. Oh and if you ever need help with your 'family' you know how to reach me."
He then disappeared and everything was back to normal. The trees sped back up to normal pace and the animals, along with the rest of nature, resumed in the normal manner. I didn't know when I'd see Elijah next, but I now knew some key things; Faeries and hunters.
