You and Sam were hanging out in the yard today, sipping some beer and just having a good time. It was a fun day! You really enjoyed the outdoors, but what you didn't like was: bugs!

"Hey (Y/N)? Look at that!" Sam points down to the grass. You tilt your head not seeing a damn thing.

"What? I don't see anything!" Then suddenly, you saw a tiny little furry green caterpillar wiggling through the grass. The reason you didn't see that was because he was blended in.

"OH GOD!" You shout and ran as fast as you could to the other side of the yard, away from it.

"Hey! What's the matter? There's nothing scary about him!" Sam looks over at you, obviously concerned.

"What are you scared off this little guy is harmless!" Sam kneeled down, and let the caterpillar slowly wiggle up his way onto Sam's humungous hand.

"SAM! Put that thing down!" You begged and started panting.

Sam walks over to where you were standing, cradling the small insect, you tried to run away again, but Sam caught up to you, and grabbed your arm.

"NO!" You shout, and squirmed, the caterpillar giving you an intense amount of anxiety!

"Hey! No! It's okay, it's okay. Calm down." Sam moved a tad bit closer to you, and then gently plopped the caterpillar onto your hand.

You groaned loudly, trying not to scream, you forced yourself not to. But you were screaming internally.

"Ew, GET HIM OFF ME! This is SO gross!" And then the creature made his way on to your wrist, then arm. You squinted at him, and and started to smile a bit.

"See? Not so bad.." Sam smirks at you.

"Maybe not. I mean, he is kinda cute!"
You giggled, it tickled so much when it crawled.

"I like him, oh-" you giggles even louder this time, lifting the caterpillar off your arm and placing him back onto the palm of your hand.

You couldn't stop looking at him. So fun, so sweet. The creature was so hairy, that made you giggle as well!

After a few more minutes of holding the insect, you placed him gently back on the ground, feeling a tad bit sad that you had to let him go!

Sam looked a little bit sad as well. "Well, we can't keep him forever; (Y/N)!"

"I know. It's fine. And you win this time! I like, no I LOVE caterpillars how. Thank you Sam. You're the best!"

From this day forward, you loved tiny caterpillars, especially the hairy ones.
Every chance you got, you grabbed one to hold in your hand. All because of Sam. If he hadn't introduced them to you, you'd still be terrified of them.
