He had an appalled look on his face, "No! No, it doesn't!"

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry Liam. That was a little uncalled for. But if you could, please explain how you got interested in disco?"

I cringed at the word. I loathe disco, don't ask why, I just do.

"Well, I wasn't always a big fan of disco, I just didn't mind it. But a few years back, I met this girl..."

"Here we go..." I interrupted, "Sorry."

He shook his head, "Anyway, her name was Danielle. Her mum was from Detroit, and she was into the whole Motown thing. She met a nice lad from the U.K. while doing a gig here in London. Danielle was real little at the time, and didn't have a big vocabulary, so she didn't really have an accent, until she acquired a 'British' one years after she moved here."

I snickered, "That still doesn't explain why you like disco."

"I was getting there, until I was rudely interrupted." he teased, winking at me.

"Sorry..." I whispered bashfully.

"Danielle and I met in the beginning of secondary school, and were friends for the very start of it. We starting going steady-"

I snorted, trying to hold in my laughter, "Just k-keep going. Sorry!"

He rolled his eyes, "and she was into disco because of her mum, and Danielle got me into it as well. The end."

I nodded, but then I realised something, "Is Danielle your girlfriend?"

To be honest, I was a little afraid of his answer.

"Yeah. Wait - no, we broke up recently."

For some odd reason, I was happy.

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. It just didn't feel right anymore, you know?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

No, no, I don't know.

I haven't had a girlfriend in years. Like three years. And she was the only real girlfriend I ever had.

"I'm going to be honest here, I have no idea where I am going anymore. I'm not really used to these roads." I said, blushing.

"Could you drive me home? I'd love to stay and chat, really, but I'm extremely tired."

"Yeah, 'course. Just give me the directions to your house."

It took twenty minutes for Liam to show me to his house. It would've been quicker if I hadn't gone left instead of right.

"Thank you so much, Niall. I appreciated this time, I like making new friends. The only real friends I have are my band mates."

"And me." I whispered, grinning.

"And you."

We waved good-bye and I watched him get inside safely before I drove back to my shared flat.

Upon opening the door, I was faced with two new lads.

"Really guys?"

Ash and a blonde guy were sitting together, sharing a pizza. Harry and Louis were a mess, both lying on the floor with pizza-covered faces.

"W-What...?" Harry asked.

"You didn't save me any pizza!"

All four boys awkwardly laughed, and I tried to save the embarrassment for tomorrow.

I grabbed a beer from the kitchen and made my way to the recliner by the telly.

"I probably should get going. Bye Ash..." the blonde muttered, waving at Ashton.

"Bye Lukey..." he said, a sad look on his face.

Louis stood up as well, "Me too. Goodnight Harry. Bye Ashton and Niall."

They glumly walked to the door and left.

"Thanks Niall..." Harry said quietly.

"Yeah, thanks." Ash agreed.

"Sorry to ruin your guys' fun. Maybe next time I just wont come home."

"Well we thought you'd be spending the night with Liam." Harry said.

"I barely know the lad! And you two barely know them! Don't just invite strangers into our home."

"I've actually known Louis for a couple years..."

I sighed, "Well, then, Ashton, don't just invite strangers into our home."

"This better not influence our chances of winning, Harry."

"Why would it?" he questioned exasperatedly.

"Your in a relationship with one of the judges."

"We're not in a relationship! We're just friends! Plus, he isn't a judge, the people who watch the performances vote."

I blushed, "I'm sorry. I didn't know."

"Anyway..." he said, awkwardly pulling at his collar, "you lads hungry? I know Niall is."

"How do you know?"

"You always are."

"Not true." I huffed, crossing my arms and puffing my cheeks childishly.

"Aw, Niall. You're so cute! I bet Liam thinks so too." I teased, pinching his cheek.

"Shut up. Just make some food."

"Okay, okay."

Harry made his way into the kitchen, glancing at the options.

"Ash, will you help me?"

"Ugh," he groaned, and reluctantly got up off of the couch.

"Do you guys want my help too?" I asked.

"No, we're good."

I narrowed my eyes and focused them on the telly.

I flipped through the few channels we had. "There's nothing good on."

"Then watch the news, or something."

"No. That's boring."

"Then I don't know what to tell you."

"Put a movie in." Ashton suggested.

"We don't have any."

Ashton groaned, "What do you mean? We have tons."

"I loaned some to Josh and some to Sean. All we have left is Star Wars."

"Then put that in." Harry said.

Both boys helped me look for more, but of course, the kettle began to go off, and Harry jumped up at the sound.

At almost the same time, the timer went off for the food in the oven, and Ash joined Harry in the kitchen once again.

Harry opened the oven, an aroma of smells swarming the entire flat.

"Chicken?" I asked, drool begging to fall from my mouth.

"Yep. And some tea."

"Yay. Thanks Haz. And Ash."

"Your welcome." both said.

"Ashton, you did nothing but pour the hot water into mugs. I actually did everything else."

"I actually don't care."

"I actually want to eat." I said, fork and knife in my hands.

"What else is new?"

Harry put the platter with the chicken on it in front of us, steam rising from both the chicken and the tea.

I licked my lips absentmindedly and reached for a piece of chicken.

"Bon appetit!"
