Picture of Shannon is to come. Enjoy xo I know this may seem cliche but it gets better, i promise.

They should really put instructions that even a dummy like me, could understand. Make it simple. I follow all the instructions the best I could. It’s time to shower up. I rinse all the dye out of my hair just like box told me to. My eyes were closed so I wouldn’t get soap in my eyes. My hair goes to my hip, I usually wear it in a bun. Wow, this hair color is amazing. Looks nice with my skin. I am not too pale, perfectly tanned for this color. I detangle it and smile. I get out. And go to sleep.

Have you ever waken up, knowing a big day was ahead? Like the beach, or Disney World? Well that’s this day for me. I sit next to Luke in Algebra 2, which I ace. And also I sit in front of him in History, by far my favorite subject. I put one a floral dress with a brown belt, with sandals that match the belt. I straighten my hair and for the first time in forever, I put make up on for school. I am pretty sure Luke doesn’t even know my name. I grab my book bag and keys and head out. When I get a text message:

Day one:

You don’t introduce yourself, which will be his job. When you see him walking in the halls, “accidentally” push into him to get his attention.

I smile after reading it. Operation Eric has begun. What should I do if he introduces himself? What if I stutter? What if I can’t make out my name? What if I stutter? What if? So many what ifs? My phone vibrates.

Just because you are not used to this, be confident like every boy tries to talk to you. Say your first name, smile, and say your last name. You can even start up a conversation in the hall, if he starts talking to you.

Thanks Ash. Exactly what I needed. I park my car and go inside. I have no friends so I am pretty sure no will notice. I walk as confident as I can. I see the basketball jocks asking each other if they know me. I begin to smile. Already my appearance change seems to be working. Luke isn’t in a relationship but he does hang out with the cheerleaders. That’s it. I need to join a group. Not just any group. A sports group. Soccer. Perfect. My favorite. I go to my locker, which ironically is across from Luke’s. I’m 122. And he is 132. He is standing at his locker talking to the cheerleaders throwing themselves at him, and I see his eyes gaze on me. Oh my goodness, he looked at me. It worked. He noticed! Stay calm. “Lukeyy, where are you going?” says the Lead Cheerleader, Kristen. I don’t want it to be obvious I am listening so I ignore it. I smell something amazing. Axe? I wonder what Luke smells like?

“Hey, I haven’t seen you around? You new?” said a deep voice, which I registered as Luke’s. I smiled, “Nope, I’ve been here all year.”

“Are you sure? I think I would remember someone so beautiful.” He replied with a cocky grin. I glanced at him,

“Well, who are you? I think I would remember someone so handsome.” I replied with a load of confidence. He coughed,

“Lucas Matthew.” I coughed, “I’m Shannon, Shannon Ortanga.” I smiled at him. Yes! Yes! I did it! Just like Ashley instructed me! I grabbed my books and shut my locker, “see ya around.” I whispered as I walked away. I smiled. Smiled all the way to first period. That’s when my phone vibrated. I grabbed my phone,

Congrats!! Step one complete.. You never bumped him, but even better he came up to you. Bump him, pretend like you forgot who he was and then quickly pretend to remember. Add a little flirtation, if you haven’t already.

How many steps are there? How long will this take? I was thinking when I bumped into some one. Great. Kent Laken. Soccer jock. Hot. Not as hot as Luke.
