Matt threw his phone down onto the carpet, he looked annoyed. Ryan looked over to see what happened, curious what could've made that noise. All he saw was Matt's phone barely touching the wall, and a stiff lanky boy. "Matt what happened?" Ryan asked, sliding over to his buddy.
"I gotta take a break from social media," Matt sighed, crawling over to his phone. He picked it up, checked if it was ok, and slid it into his pocket. "I gotta ignore everyone."
"Is it because of...?" Even though Ryan didn't say the word, Matt knew what he meant, he nodded. "Yeah, it's best to just ignore it." Ryan sat up, he walked to the kitchen. Matt felt himself getting sleepy, which was strange, he was fine a moment ago? He had a hard time keeping his eyes open, why was he so tired? He began wobbling, he was going to fall asleep at any moment. He heard Ryan say something, but couldn't make out any of the words he said. The last noise Matt made before falling asleep was a little "mmmnn..". He crashed onto the ground and fell into a deep sleep, probably scaring the shit out of Ryan.
"Matt?" Ryan turned around. "You ignoring me now?" He walked out of the kitchen and into the living room to see how Matt was doing. "You seriously fell asleep?" Ryan groaned and picked Matt up, carrying him to his own bed. Once he set Matt onto his bed he walked back into the kitchen to get his food.
~ Matt's Dream ~
Matt opened his eyes, people were all around him. Where was he? Wasn't he at home just a few seconds ago? He began to walk around, he felt in control. Everyone turned to look at him, he froze. The faces were distorted, the only thing there was black static that bounced around like crazy. He began to walk again, the "faces" followed his every move. He looked down, not wanting to look at them again. The floor was a dark blood red color, and so was the sky, it looked like it never ended. Matt felt himself bump into something, he looked up, it was one giant wooden door. The door knob glistened, it was gold. He slowly rose his hand, placing it on the knob. He turned it, the door groaned as it slowly opened. The people started to sprint after Matt, which sent him into panic. He opened the door a little more and quickly squeezed himself through it, slamming it shut when he was finally in the mysterious room. The doors lock clicked, those...things...couldn't get it n now. Matt started walking again, everything was pitch black, he could barely see. After walking for a few seconds, a singular light flickered on by itself. Matt noticed, he walked towards it. Once he got to the light he heard a voice call out his name. "Matt..." it was spoken softly at first, but after the boy didn't call back, it roared out in anger. "MATT!!"
"Y-Yes?" Matt replied.
"You're unhappy aren't you?" It asked.
"What do you mean?"
"You said you wanted to go back..." The voice paused. "you don't like what's happening, right?"
"I guess... I just wish I could come out on my own."
"I'll grant your wish."
"This is a dream though, it can't happen-" Matt moved away from the light, he felt uneasy. This voice without a face had a bad vibe attached to it.
"Silly boy, I'm powerful, I can do anything."
"I want to wake up."
"Turning down my offer?"
"Yes, can I please wake up?" Matt begged.
"You'll regret this, Matthew." The light broke, and Matt shot up from his bed, breathing heavily.
'What the fuck just happened?' Matt thought to himself. He didn't feel hungry anymore, he felt sick. Was he really going to regret his choice?
