The picture above doesn't really have anything to do with the story, but it also does.

Alright, I'm gonna apologize in advance- sorry.😬

TW: ANGST™, self harm, scratching at old scars, self-deprecation, bullying, unkind f-word, Mean Deceit- doesn't lie; does inflict harm, the word smart***, anorexia mention, fake smiles, hiding pain- crying where no one can hear/see, panic attack mentions, insecurities, violence (punching)
Ship: LAMP (romantic or platonic, your choice)
Human/High School AU

Virgil and Logan are freshmen (9th), Roman and Patton are sophomores (10th), Deceit (Declan) is a senior (12th).

A/N: Every time you see "----------------" it is a different person's POV. Normal time skips in one POV say "*Time Skip*". Thank You!!

Third POV:
He sauntered through the school doors, confidence practically flowing from him in waves. It made sense- his father was a successful business man, his family was rich, he seemed popular at school.

He continued walking until he saw a familiar group of people. He quickly hunched over and avoided eye contact, until one saw him and yelled, "Hey, fag!"

Stopping quickly, he stood up and shot the group of seniors a nervous smile.

"Declan! To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Come with us, rich boy." Declan and his gang began to walk away, the once seemingly confident man following quickly behind, knowing it'd be worse if he didn't.

Declan led him to the back of the school, making no hesitance in ordering his goons to grab the victim and hold him up against the wall.

Declan made quick work of making the boy his personal punching bag, all the while muttering harmful words and threats. The attacker punched everywhere that would never be seen by anyone else- no one would know. The victim had long since tried to fight, it happened almost every day- no one knew, no one would.

A new kid had come to school, and he seemed nice. Another kid to be 'friends' with. But this kid would be like the rest.

He would always just be the gay theatre kid no one bothered to listen to.

But little did Roman know, the new kid would listen to him.

----------------

He walked to his next class, trying to ignore the nagging feeling in his chest. He wanted- no, needed to scratch, but he couldn't now, not in the school hallway.

He was pushed into a couple lockers by Declan and some other seniors, but so what? He clearly deserved it.

He arrived in the classroom and walked to his seat in the far back corner.

*Time skip*

As soon as school was over, he took his usual route of walking home, alone of course.

When he did get home, he went upstairs, ignoring his parents, as usual, and tried to get his homework done.

Eventually, it was very late, or early, whichever you prefer, and he had traveled into his bathroom. His parents would be fast asleep, unable to know what he was doing.

1- you deserve it.

2- you deserve to suffer through it.

3- you're a screw up.
