Ch.04 - A Visit from the 'Landlady'

The next morning, you were waking up from your slumber with Zoe and Shantae. As you were remembered  the envelope, (that Sasha brought before you yesterday) was sent to your apartment number by the name of Rebecca Schneider, your landlady. You then open the contents to read it correctly. "Let's see..." You say.

Dear Mr. (L/N),

It has come to my attention that by the end of this month, I would come visit you on (M/D/Y), at 1:15 pm, to collect the payment of $325. Although I would consider taking the $45 and be done with it till next month. Unfortunately business called up and 'force' me to raise the rent for my building. So I do pray that you have the money for me ASAP.

"Aw man..." You say in a distressful way. "What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Zoe asked. "Well, Zoe... According to this letter sent from the landlady, I have to pay up my rent for this month.....or she'll ask me to move out...and I don't want to find another apartment. It's too much work." You tell her. "Well, how much do you have now?" She asked. "I've only got the $275 from my job at the arcade. And I thought it would help me cover the rent for a month or two." You say with worry, then Maria comes by you and Zoe. "Excuse me, sir, but mind if I make a suggestion?" She asked you. "If it helps me figure out how to get more money, then yes. It would. So...what do you suggest?" You ask Maria. "Well, I was thinking that, maybe you could turn that treasure chest...into a bag full of cash. If you 'wished' for it, of course." She tells you. "My wha--?" You paused with confusion and turned your head toward the treasure chest you have at the corner of your living room, which made you slap yourself in the face in utter disbelief.

'Oh my God... What the hell was I thinking.' You thought to yourself. "Hang on... Shantae!" You called out for her as she poofs out of her lamp to meet up with you. "You called?" She says happily. "Yeah, cause I need your magic for something." You say. "Then what is your next wish?" She kindly asked as you speak the next following words. "I wish for you to turn that treasure chest of gold into a bag of cash." You tell her as her ears twitched with joy. "Then your wish is my command, oh Master!" She says with a snap of her fingers and then the chest of gold started to morph into a bag full of cash.
