Paige went to sleep a while ago. We have been on the road for a couple hours. I have been reading the binder about Paige that Natalie's mom had given me.

Right now I am going to go check on her though because that's what my mom would do. And also it's hard learning to sleep on a moving tour bus.

I go and check on Paige and she is fast asleep. I can here my music playing quietly in the background. That must be how she falls asleep good to know.

After I checked on Paige I head back into living room area of the bus with the binder and a cup of coffee. I finally can begin reading up on my new daughter.

Wow that sounded like she is an experiment, come on Taylor it's time to start acting like a mother. You can do this.

Let's see I say to myself as I begin reading. It starts off with her likes and dislikes of food. I skip that part knowing Paige can tell me that herself.

The next part goes on to school. I am worried about reading this part of the binder. I was always good in school. Straight A's and I never got in trouble when I was homeschooled for my junior and senior year of high school I finished both choruses with in a year. I really hope Paige is as good at school as I am. That would make things easy.

That's when I read:
Has to redo seventh grade of middle school again.
Got failing grade in math, science and history.
Had numerous detentions and suspensions.

Oh my gosh. How does she manage to get in trouble this much. Probably because her parents did not care about her one bit and Natalie's mom wasn't her mom at all. One thing is for sure Paige is not getting away with this underneath my roof. She is doing work while we are touring even though it is still summer. She is not needing to repeat seventh grade twice.

Let me read the good parts now. Please be as much as there were bad Paige. I really hope em being her mother can change her for the better.

The good parts of her school life are
English is best subject
Very good at writing poems
Took music production, and poetry as electives last year
Clubs: slam poetry
Sports: none

I wonder if she writes music saying she took music production and writes poems. English was my best subject when I was still in school. I would love to help Paige write songs. We could bond over that I guess.

I wonder if the binder has stuff on her hobbies and interests. It must this thing is thick. I think to myself as I hear a loud bang. I get up and run to Paige's room on the bus.

"PAIGE! Are you ok?!" I yell as I get closer to her room.

"I'M FINE Taylor" I hear her yell back.

That's when I reach the door way of her room and I see Paige on the ground clutching her ankle.

"Oh my gosh Paige what happened?! Clearly you aren't fine." I say alarmed.

"You know the big bump and turn that we just went over?" She says back to me kinda snotty but I am going to let it go for now.

"Yes did it make you fall?" I ask concerned.

"Well I was sleeping and I am not used to sleeping on a bus so I feel off the bed. And my ankle is fine." She says back as she climbs back into her bed.

"Are you sure? You don't want me to have someone check it out?" I say.

"Yes Taylor I am fine." Paige says back.

"Ok Paige see you in the morning darling." I say turning off the light.

"Night Taylor." She says back.

...

It's morning. We arrived in Nashville. I don't perform for a couple days so it gives me sometime to connect with Paige and tell her that she is doing some school work on the road even though it's summer. Which I know she won't be happy about so we are going to ease into talking about that.

I head into her room in the morning to wake her up but she is already out of bed with crew socks and sneakers on.

There has to be something wrong with that ankle of hers.

"Oh good morning Taylor." Paige says. I really want her to call me mom but I know that will probably take a while.

"Hey you are already up. You ready to go into the house." I say because we are at my home in Nashville and the cats really need space to move around.

"Yep where are we again." Paige says.

I forgot to tell her where we were going last night.

"We're at my house in Nashville.I have a show in a couple days here. So we can go into the city today and I have to go my record label too." I say.

"Oh cool" Paige says.

She is trying to act cool but I can see a huge smile on her face. I know she is excited about the record label part of today based on what I read about her last night.

We head into the house and I let Meredith and Olivia out of their cages. They take off running.

Paige walks in and she is so amazed she drops her bag that she insisted on carrying even though my security would have gladly done so. The bag crashes down with a loud thud and making her jump and me laugh.

"Oh my god Taylor I am so sorry I didn't mean to drop that." Paige says quickly picking it up.

"It's ok darling. I know it's amazing to see this place for the first time." I say letting our a little laugh. "How about I show you to your room and then once we get ready for the day we can head into the city."

"Ok". She says following me up the stairs. She is trying to walk on her ankle as normal as possible. She must not like the doctor. But I need to have her get it checked out.

"Here is your room." I say walking into one of the guest bedrooms in my Nashville home. "There is an outfit that I had mailed here for you to wear today in the closet. Get changed and then we can leave."

"Thank you so much Taylor. I'll be down in a second." Paige says.

Little does she know that the shoes I got for to wear today won't allow her to hide her bruised or swollen ankle. I need her to be honest with me. Hopefully that begins to happen soon.

Authors Note.

So will Paige start being honest with Taylor.

Next chapter is Paige's Pov.
