The next morning as usual with dad gone to work. Mom drove us to school and went to work. What does mom work as? Well, mom works as a doctor at the nearest hospital in town. It's also been the same with mom, she goes to work, she comes home and she cooks. Sometimes when she's too tired to cook, I take charge. I would normally make spaghetti or lasagna. Tell me who hates them? Adam loved them so much that he would clean up after. Haha great way to trick a brother to do what you need them to do. Works all the time.

As for dad, it's been a rough couple of weeks. Dad is on this big project that eats up his time with us. But hey! It's for a good cause. Apparently the project is about making environmental friendly homes in the city. Dad knows that I wouldn't like it if he was involved in an unfriendly project!

Alright, back to me. I met up with Zoey in the entrance. All of a sudden, a pair of hands covered my eyes. I could hear my brother's loud and annoying voice. Could it be him?

"Guess who's that?" Zoey chuckled.

"Adam?"

"No, silly!"

The hands moved out of my sight.

"Hey, babe."

I turned around and I was staring into Zach's beautiful baby blue eyes. I kissed him and hugged him like I've not met him in a long time.

Adam laughed and said "You two lovebirds should find a room."

We got to our classes and classes. It was then lunch. All four of us sat at the same table. Adam and his jock friends came to our table, laid down their lunch and started a chatter. Zach put his arms around me while he had a talk with his pals. You could say Zoey and Leo had a fun time giggling and choking over salad. Bell rang and we headed back to our classrooms.

School was over in a split second. Today is the weirdest day of my life. Surprisingly Jessica didn't come up to me or even take a chance to bully me. Maybe things were working out the way I wanted. I was glad that today wasn't one of my worst days.

I was walking out the door alone with my folders and my phone in my hand. Zach came up behind me and hugged me while saying "Hey babe." Well, I allowed him to call me whatever he wanted on school grounds because everyone in school already knows we are a thing. What's the use in hiding it when the tea has already been spilled?

"Hi babe." I replied.

"Your mom picking you up?" Zach asked me.

"I think so. If she's not I'll probably walk home."

*chimes*

I picked up my phone, it was a text from mom.

'Hey sweetie, I can't pick you and Adam up today. I'm stuck at work. I'll be back home at 6pm. I love you.'

I typed the words 'Okay mom. I'll see you then. I love you too.'

"I guess me and Adam will be walking home today."

Just as I said that, Adam hops into his friend, Jacob's car. He shouted telling me that he's going to Starbucks with his friends. Ugh! Great, now I got to walk back myself. Sometimes I hate the thought of a brother.

"Well babe, I could drive you home?" Zach smiled.

"You would? Thank you baby."
