{ 2 MONTHS LATER - DECEMBER}

~ASHLEY'S POV~

It was Christmas Eve and Alex was spending her Christmas at my house.

We were all surrounded around our Christmas tree, singing carols...dumb right?

I couldn't wait for Alex to open the present I got her. Hopefully she'll like it, I thought.

I put my arm around her shoulders and pushed her closer to me so her head leaned on my right shoulder. She tucked her arm around my waist, which inevitably led to giving me butterflies.

You'd think that after dating a girl for 3 months I'd have gotten used to this. Wrong. She was as intimidating as ever considering the fact that some nights we felt we were taking our relationship too far.

I abruptly jumped when there was a knock on the door. I turned to my parents in confusion, silently asking if we were expecting company.
"Beats me," my dad said in reply.

I walked over to the door and opened it. Standing on the other side was a boy with a slip of paper in his hand.

But not just any boy. "ANDY!" I yelled out loud and flung my hands around him.

"Hey Ash," he laughed and I heard the oh-so-missed deep voice of his. "How you been bro?" I asked, shaking his hand with a huge grin on my face.

I couldn't believe it. Andy. My best friend.

~ALEX'S POV~

"Hey Ash," said the boy that had come in the house.

My heart pounded against my chest. That voice was familiar. Deep. I got a closer look at him. He was a skinny boy, tall and with choppy black hair and....eyeliner around his eyes.

His blue eyes.

There was no mistaking that shade of blue. My heart pounded even faster. What was I supposed to say?

Hey you're the kid who saved me from getting raped! Uh..no.

For one thing, I never even told Ash about that. I knew he'd get way too worried if he found out.

The boy went over to Ash's parents to make some small talk.

I pulled Ash over and asked him who the hell he was, to which he replied, "That's Andy Biersack. He used to be a friend of mine in my neighborhood at my old school, he moved to Cali ages ago but we never had a chance to meet up. Don't worry, you'll like him, I know you two will be great friends."

I gulped as Andy came over to me and asked Ash, "Who is this beautiful girl?" he took my hand and kissed it and I blushed.

"Hey, hey. Hands off Andy. This is my girlfriend, Alexandria Riley, better known as Alex." Andy took my hand in his and shook it, afterwards looking at my face for what seemed like the first time. His hand stopped shaking but hung in midair with my hand in his. He looked into my eyes but I forced myself not to look into his.

He knows, I thought. I gave him a look saying, later. Which I hoped he understood. His face broke into a broad smile.

"Nice to meet you Alex," he said cheerfully and let go of my hand.

He went over to Ash's parents again and Ash leaned in closer to me to ask, "What was that about?"

"No idea," I replied. If I'm going to tell Ash about nearly getting raped, today wasn't that day.
