To Capture a Heart

Chapter 2

The four cats soon introduced themselves as Victoria, Jemima, Electra and Etcetera. They were sweet and excitable cats. They said that they were so thankful for me being here and that they're looking forward to getting to know me. More cats came up to me and introduced themselves to me, one by one: Bombalurina, Demeter, Mistoffelees, Plato, Alonzo, Pouncival, Cassandra, Exotica, Jennyanydots, Jellylorum, Gus, Mungojerrie, Rumpleteazer, SkimbleShanks, George, Asparagus, Tantomile and then finally her twin brother Coricopat.

He is a male cat, his fur is striped and hatched with tabby markings, he has rolled ears. He was absolutely dreamy. My heart was beating increadably fast, i couldn't get over how handsome he looked. As soon as he smiled and walked off with his sister, i had the chance to make my heart calm down. But his voice was so soothing and his eyes were so enchanting. My heart wouldn't slow down. I was soon cut out of my trance when Munkustrap spoke up one last time. "Let today be a get together day for us all to catch up with one another and get to know eachother. Tomorrow we will set up for the Jellical ball and then the night after, when the jellical moon rises, we will have our jellical ball," he said with happiness in his voice. I am looking forward to getting to meet these cats, they all seemed so nice and friendly. Especially Coriocpat. That dreamy tom cat. I get excited just thinking about him.

Me and the four of the female cats were in the middle of getting to know eachother when suddenly a tall, male tom cat with black fur and a large golden mane and leopard spots and patches on his chest, arms and legs jumped out of nowhere and stood next to me, looking at the cats i was talking to, making them squeal and purr in excitement. He then turned to me and had a shocked look on his face, he then smirked and interwined his tail with mine, making me feel super uncomfortable. "Who's this fine she-cat?~" he asked in a low, seductive tone, sending shivers down my spine, and not in a good way. I looked away from him, nervously. "I-I'm Y/N, I'm a new member of the tribe. It's nice to meet you....?" i asked in a curious tone. He smiled down at me. "I'm Tugger, it's nice to meet you, pretty kitty," i got even more uncomfortable after he gave me that nickname. "Tugger!" shouted Munkustrap, "leave the poor girl alone, she's clearly not interested nor falling for your charm," he walked over to us. Tugger lifted his paws up in defeat, retreating his tail from mine, a smirk on his face. "My bad," he chuckled and walked off. Munkustrap watched his brother walk away and looked down at me with a gentle smile on his lips. "Don't mind my brother, he tends to flirt a lot," he sounded desgusted when he said the last part. I nodded my head and smiled. "Thank you for helping me, i was feeling increadably uncomfortable. Munkustrap just smiled and nodded his head. "No problem, Y/N" he then walked off to join the older cats.

I went back to talking with the girls, they seemed to have stopped swooning over Tugger. "So, Y/N, have you found anyone you like?" asked Etcetera. I froze. There is no way i could tell these girls that i have a crush on Coricopat. So i decided to play it safe. "Even if i did, i wouldn't tell you, i like to keep my privacy  to myself," i said, trying to sound confidant. Electra just looked at me and smirked. "So what you're telling us is that you DO like someone, you just don't want to tell us," she said in an amused tone in her voice. Busted. I sighed and gave up, i really want to tell them but i'm not sure if i can trust them. I nodded. "Yes, i like someone," i said in defeat. They all leaned closer, wanting me to say more. "Spill the beans," said Electra. I sighed and looked over at Coricopat, who was busy talking to his twin sister, Tantomile. I looked back at the girls and leaned forward, whispering to the girls. "I have a crush on Coricopat...." i whispered as quietly as i could but loud enough for them to hear me. The four girls squealed loudly. I shushed them loudly, other cats were looking at us, wondering what had happened. They silenced and stared at me, excitedly. "You have to dance with him at the Jellical Ball!" whisper-squealed Victoria. I looked down, embarrassed. "I don't know..." i was not confidant at all. They all gave me a reasuring smile which made me feel alot better. "Maybe I will..." i smiled a little, thinking about Coricopat. Would he even want to dance with me?
