Elsa's POV

I lay next to him in the grassy meadow, one of my favorite places to go. For a long while I stared into his crystal blue eyes, running my hands through his snow white hair. He looked heartbroken, yet again, he's looked this way for awhile now. I tried to comfort him, but it doesn't seem to help. He says nothing, not even making the smallest gesture. I missed the old Jack.

Everything may seem confusing now, but this is the story of how I fell in love with Jack Frost. I should start from the beginning: when we very first met.

It wasn't love at first sight. Let's just say we had a deep hatred for each other. It all started on the first day of Freshman year.

Jack's POV

All of my friends were excited for high school, but I was terrified. They saw it as a chance to finally become the "big kids". To me, it felt like we were small again.

I went to the front office and grabbed my schedule. As usual, all my classes sucked, but I did have a majority of them with my best friend Hiccup.

As I walked down the halls I compared myself to everyone else. Most of the Juniors and Seniors were scrawny and twig-like. That's a good thing I guess. I won't have to worry about being beat up.

My first period was homeroom. Right when I walked in, I saw Hiccup talking with a few unfamiliar faces. Who were they? Strange. I sat down in the desk right next to him. It was awkward. No one was talking to me. I waited for a few minutes. Ugh.

"Hey Hic." Finally he turned around, "Jack! When did you get here?" I didn't want to sound like a loser, so I lied, "Oh, not long, maybe a minute or so." He nodded. "Sweet."

Something changed about him over the summer. He's actually social.

"So, um, mind introducing me to your friends?" I asked awkwardly. They seemed like nice people. "Oh, right. This is Merida," he gestured towards the red-headed girl. Her hair was extremely curly, "and this is Flynn." I smiled at them. "I'm not sure where Astrid is. You'll have to meet her later."

Just then a girl with platinum blonde hair walked in. It was tied up into a messy braid. "Is that her?" I pointed. Everyone looked. "Her? No, that's Elsa. She's not someone you want to mess with," Merida replied. I gave them a confused look, "Why? She's so small and fragile...like a twig."

Hiccup didn't seem amused. He looked at the floor. "Trust me. It's best to leave her be." Then the bell rang.

The teacher walked in a moment after. She had her long black hair flowing to her mid-back. Too pretty to be a teacher. "Welcome to Homeroom, students." A few people in the back groaned. "I hope you're having a good day so far."

All the teachers talked about was the upcoming school year and how they had "special plans." I had a few classes with Hiccup, Merida, and Flynn, but the rest of the time I was completely alone.

Over the next week, I noticed I had most of my classes with Elsa. In my opinion she was kind of a freak.

I also met Astrid. She was strange, but in a good way. When she was around us, she seemed like the nicest person in the world. But with others, it was like she morphed into a vicious cobra.

I'm happy with my new friends, and surprisingly, my classes weren't so horrible after all.

But I can't help but wonder why no one messed with Elsa.
