Jack's POV
It's been three days since my argument with Elsa.
Everyday in our classes we ignore each other. Eventually we'll have to speak again, even though neither of us want to. But I guess if we are suppose to bond we have to actually make up or, at the least, make eye contact. Knowing Elsa, I'll have to apologize or otherwise we'll never get this project done.
After the fourth period bell rang, I ran up to her.
"Elsa? May I talk to you?" I asked. She was at her locker putting away her stuff. There was no response, just a hateful glare. I sighed, "Look, we both know there is no way for us to actually become friends, much less get this "bonding" project complete, but we have to at least try, right?"
"There's no point in trying," she spat. I rubbed my forehead. "I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it. My temper was out of control."
"Way out of control, Jack."
"Yes. EXTREMELY out of control. And that's why I feel bad."
"Serves you right."
"Yes, both right and left. Please, is there anyway you can forgive me?"
She looked down and thought. I hope this works. "I'll meet you at your house tonight," Elsa said. I nodded at her. Then she whispered in my ear, "I know you only apologized so we could keep working on the assignment, but I appreciate the effort."
Her breath was so warm, unlike her ice cold personality.
Elsa's POV
Around six o'clock I was at back at Jack's house. We were still shaken from our fight, so neither of us talked very much.
"So...how are we suppose to bond exactly?" I asked. He just laughed and shook his head, "I'm not exactly sure. Whatever we're doing, it's not going to work." There was a long moment of silence. "We could go on a date," Jack suggested.
I gave him a weird look, "Sorry, but I don't see that working out." He nodded in agreement, "I'm just throwing ideas out there."
"I'm pretty sure some people just aren't compatible together. That's my theory," I said, "We can't even become friends! Isn't that what this assignment about?"
Jack sighed, "I don't know what you want me to do about this whole situation, Elsa."
"Ya, neither of us do."
"I say we should call it a night. We'll think of something tomorrow."
I nodded, "If I stay for too much longer, we'll probably end up arguing again. And we know how THAT turns out."
"At least we agree on something," he laughed.
So I gave him a nod and left.
