It was a sunny summer morning, the grass damp with morning dew, the birds chirping a happy call and the sun shining all throughout Riverdale.
It was awful.
Betty Cooper was woken up from her peaceful sleep because of some dumb sun that wanted to ruin her morning.
She wasn't alone in her perfect slumber, her boyfriend, Jughead Jones was tangled with her, still quietly snoring. He looked so calm and content with life, black tuffs of hair curling over his eyes. Betty took in the sight of her lover and a smile spread across her face.
"Betty you're staring again."
"Sorry, you're really hot?"
"Well, I guess you aren't lying."
"Yeah yeah whatever, I wanna make breakfast."
"Okay, we can make pancakes if you want."
"Duh"
The young couple walked downstairs and into the Cooper's kitchen. Alice was gone visiting one of Polly friends from the farm for the rest of the week. Jughead started getting out ingredients while Betty grabbed all the bowls, pans, and spoons.
"Jughead we need two cups of flour," Betty called from the living room, where she was lounging on the couch.
He then proceeded to try to measure the flour.
Keyword tried.
"Juggie! You're making a mess!" There was flour all over the counter and on Jughead's black shirt.
"No, this is making a mess." He smirked before throwing flour all over Betty.
Her jaw dropped.
"Oh, it's on." The blonde smiled before grabbing an egg nearby and cracking it on his head.
Jughead's eyes widened and he grabbed the milk and poured it over her head.
"Oh my god, you're going to pay for this!" Betty grabbed a handful of flour and threw it at Jughead's face.
When he was trying not to get flour in his eyes, Betty filled Jughead's beanie halfway with flour.
By the time this was over, they were both covered in egg, flour, milk, sugar and they even went as far as maple syrup in each other's hair. They both showered and had on clean clothes but Jughead went to put his beanie on, Betty forgetting about the flour.
"Betty! This is war!"
"I'd like to see you try!"
