~The Next Day~
“NIALL, YOU ARE GOING TO NANDO’S WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT,” Harry yelled.
“No,” Niall replied sadly as he laid on the couch.
“Fine,” Harry smirked childishly, “Then I’m getting Liam.”
“You wouldn’t,” Niall glared at him.
“LIAM,” Harry yelled at the top of his lungs.
"What is it, Harry??" Liam called as he walked into the living room.
“Niall refuses to go to Nando’s with me.”
“Harry, she lied to me,” Niall argued, “I trusted her but she kept the biggest secret of all from me. Cause apparently I’m no better then her ex.”
“All I’m asking is for you to let her explain and make things right,” Harry looked at Liam, pleading for help with his eyes.
“I don’t want an explanation,” Niall sighed angrily, “What’s done is done.”
"Niall, you've got to at least let her explain." Liam said as he pulled him up, "whether you want an explanation or not, you need to hear her out,”
“No,” Niall said stubbornly as he let his body become dead weight.
"Come on!"
The sound of the doorbell rang through the flat, signaling that someone was there.
“I’ll get it,” Harry said as he headed for the door with a heavy sigh. Harry turned the handle and swung the door open, “Hello?"
There stood Diana, a small nervous smile on her face as she waved, "Hi... I figured Niall wouldn't come, so I asked Richard where you guys lived... I hope that was okay..."
Harry smiled softly, "You know him well." He stepped aside for her to come inside, "Come on, I'll show you where he is.”
Diana stepped inside, glancing around, "He really doesn't want to see me, huh…"
“Well…would you want to be around someone who didn’t seem to trust you after you shared everything with them?” Harry asked honestly, “He’s feeling hurt.” Harry stopped at the door to the living room and looked at her, “Here we are. Oh, and just so you know, he cares so much about you that he refused to eat anything today.”
She ran her fingers through her hair, biting her bottom lip before walking in.
Niall quickly looked over as he heard someone enter the room, expecting it to be Harry. Niall’s eyes widened in surprise before losing all emotion in his face. He quickly stood and headed up the stairs towards his room.
Diana rushed forward and reached out, grabbing his wrist gently, "Niall, wait, please!”
Niall froze, “I trusted you, Diana…or should I say Coralynn?”
"Niall.... Give me five minutes, please. That's all I ask…"
“Is that Diana asking or Coralynn?” Niall spat angrily as he shook his wrist out of her hand.
“Come on Liam,” Harry nudged Liam’s arm from where they stood in the doorway, “She’s going to need reinforcements.”
Liam nodded slightly and the two of them made their way in. Liam grabbed one of Niall's arms, "Come on.”
Harry grabbed Niall’s other arm and they carried him over to the couch, sitting on either side of him so he couldn’t get up.
Niall crossed his arms in frustration, “Let me go,” He squirmed.
“Not until you listen to Diana,” Harry said stubbornly.
Niall looked at Diana for a moment before muttering, “Two minutes.”
"I know you don't want to hear anything I have to say... But I'm still going to tell you anyway." She took a deep breath, her fists tightening around her purse handles, "I'm sorry... The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you... I just didn't want to face the possibility of being used again... After getting to know you more, I realized that I could really trust you. Last night, before the party, I decided that I was going to tell you who I was today."
Diana stared down at her feet, trying to keep from crying, "I was wrong to think that you didn't know how it felt..."
She looked him in the eyes, "You coming into my life made me pull myself out of the slump and pain that I was in. You are most certainly NOT in the same category as everyone else. You mean so much to me and I couldn't stand it if I lost you after I only just got you. So... Let me start again..."
Diana held out her hand to him, a tear slipping down her cheek as she put on a smile, "Hi... I'm Diana Coralynn MacKay Blythe. Step-daughter of Richard Blythe. I moved here from Scotland with my mom a few years back. I am a huge fan of the band One Direction, and am in love with the singer Niall Horan. It's a pleasure to meet you.”
Niall shook both Liam and Harry off and stood, an angry look still on his face as he swatted her hand away, “Has it ever occurred to you…” Niall paused as his face softened and he quickly swooped in and pressed his lips to hers, “That all I ever wanted was for you to be honest with me?” He finished as he barely pulled away, “And just so we’re clear, I’m Niall Horan and I’m so in love with you that it hurts whenever you’re gone.”
Diana buried her face in his chest, hugging him tightly, "I'm so sorry..." She whimpered.
Niall wrapped his arms around her, “I forgive you…but no more secrets, okay? One hundred percent honesty from now on, got it?”
"Got it.”
“Good,” A smile lit up Niall’s face as he kissed her again. His stomach growled loudly as they kissed and Niall pulled away with a laugh, “Can we go eat? I’m starving.”
Diana's stomach growled in response, and she looked up at him, her cheeks bright red, "Sounds good.”
“Why don’t you guys just get married now so you can have a wedding feast?” Harry teased as he threw Liam the keys.
Diana cocked her head, raising an eyebrow at Niall, a cocky smile adorning her face.
“Sounds good to me,” Niall chuckled.
Liam opened the door, "come on, love birds.”
“I mean, that feast does sound delicious,” Niall chuckled as he led Diana to the door.
"Yes, the feast does." She said looking over at the boys.
Liam took a small step back. He was not going to get into this.
Niall smirked, “Is Diana a bit jealous? Cause I’d gladly die of starvation…however difficult that would be for me, if she would just love me forever.”
Diana leaned up and pecked his lips lightly, “I'd do the same for you."
Liam glanced over at Harry, "I wonder if Leila would do that for you. You know how much she loves her food.”
Harry chuckled, “I don’t need to worry about it, since I know how to cook using pretty much anything we could outlive all you guys if a famine hit.”
Niall pushed between the two boys, “Let’s go, my girl is going to starve…and so am I.”
“Classic Niall,” Harry chuckled as he shoved everyone out and shut the door behind them, “He’s finally found the one.”
