He's quite handsome. He's almost 6ft tall, with a well-shaped bod, chocolate brown eyes, copper brown hair, and not too pale skin, and I could say, he's hot, for real.

"Minnie did send you? Unbelievable. She won't miss my birthday and send a hot guy in her place." I scoffed. Yet my insides were screaming a lot of thanks to Minnie for sending this Rome-guy for me. A hot guy in my living room, alone with me - best birthday gift ever.

Oh, did I just told him he's hot?

"Sorry if this surprise gave you bad vibes instead of what your friends were expecting.. Maybe I should just go-"

"No! You can't leave. I thought it was your duty to make my birthday a very memorable one, yet you're leaving? I'll be celebrating all alone. Oh.. Yes, that'd be very memorable!" I said sarcastically. He had that guilt look in his face as I looked at him, but it changed into something boastful as he suddenly grinned, a devilish grin.

My friends, led by Minnie - my sister in heart since I was 8, set this surpirse. They decided to send me some random guy instead of showing up themselves. Rome doesnt know why, but I do. I had no boyfriends since birth. Its not that I am not appealing, because I sure am. I've got plenty of suitors if you'd ask, but I don't plan on being in a relationship, ever. Commitments make life complicated, and I don't believe in true love. That's some of the reasons, and there's more I can't handle to recall. It's part of the past anyway.

"Oh.. I get it. You like me already, don't you?" And he smirked. I so thought he was the angel type, the gentleman and all good kind of a guy. I guess I was wrong.

"Don't think too much of yourself, mister. I've got no choice but to keep you. I can't be lonely on my own day. I deserve company!" He just chuckled at this. I'm too high to admit I want to keep him around.

"Okay, if that's what would make you happy. I believe you." He said that with a tone of sarcasm, telling me the exact opposite of his statement.

"Whatever. So, what do you wanna do?" We can't just sit here and do nothing. That'd be too boring.

"Just sit and relax and talk about you?" Okay, he suggested it so I'd be up for it. Maybe it won't bore me at all.

"Okay. But let's change the last part. Let's talk about you." Then he smirked again.

"Sure, you're not interested in me at all." Sarcasm again, and that signature smirk. He's just so cute. I think I'm as red as a tomato with that comment right now.

"Who are you?" I asked him with curiousity.

"I've told you already, I'm-"

"Rome, yeah. That's your name. I'm not asking for that. Who are you? Are you famous or something? I've never heard of you from any of my friends before. My friends don't pick just anybody for me." I cut him and told him what's on mind. I was wondering, of all the guys, why him?

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I am nobody in your world." He said coldly. What's with him? Nobody in my world?

"I'm just a delivery boy." That got my mouth to hang open. He's just a delivery boy? He looks like he just stepped out of a magazine. He's got to be kidding me.

"No. Way. You're-"

"Too handsome and hot to be just one?" He snickered.  "I've heard that a lot of times. No need to rub it on my face." And he meant what he said. There was seriousness in his voice, and his eyes; his eyes were as cold as ice. If I hadn't looked him in the eye, surely I'd response something about him being too arrogant.

"I-I'm sorry. I thought you we're not se-"

"Save it to your self. I don't need your explaination." The hell. Does he need to cut me off everytime I talk?
