"Today will be the start of our journey as real adults. Today, real life begins. Thank you to all those who have helped me to be where and be who I am today. To my best friends, Minnie, Katherine, Cheska, and Diane, without you - my life won't be fun at all, thank you very much girls. Words can't express how much grateful I am to have you around all these years, through thick and thin; to my nanny, for never leaving my side and for providing me the things.." that my parents' can't provide. That's how I want to end that statement, but I didnt.

"..I thought I'd never have. To my parents, thank you for all the support; and to my late Grand Pop, for raising me well with love, wherever you are, I want you to know that I miss you and you'd always be my inspiration. Thank you, everyone." And I wore the best smile I that I could make.

The guests applaud while I took my step down the podium and went to the table where my parents and their closest guests sit. I have to join them since according to my parents, it is my duty as the heiress.

"That was a wonderful message to start the evening, Juliet." One of my father's guests that isn't quite familiar to me said.

"Thank you, Mister.."

"Michael Anderson, please call me, Mike." He introduced himself and extended a hand that I gladly accepted and shook.

"Nice to meet you, and thank you again, Mike." I forced a smile at him. This is not where I wanted to be.

"So, Michael's our newest investor. You might want to know him better, you can learn a lot from him when it comes to business. He's been in the business for.. How long again, Mike?" My mom said. She looks pretty with the light pink gown she's wearing. It seems like she's not aging with her flawless and young looking skin. People say that I look a lot like her, but for me - she's a goddess compared to me.

"Fifty years, my dear. Fifty, which reminds me of how old I am." And everyone in the table went laughing.

For like an hour, they exchanged stories about how their businesses started, the sturggles they've been through and how they managed to keep their legacy in the air until now. For them, those topics were interesting, but for me - it wasn't. To be in the fashion industry is what I've always dreamed of but since I'm the great heiress of this empire that my Pop left, I've got no choice but to take Financial Management as my career in college.

My best friends and I had our graduation earlier in the morning. Tonight, we had this celebration that was considered as a big event in the city, and my family's the host. There were men and women from different kinds of businesses. I could say they were all rich. No average person were invited, since my parents don't mind them at all. For them, the rich people are the only ones we could be friends with. That's another reason why I'm not still in a relationship at the age of 21.

Speaking of relationship, I've seen Diane's boyfriend earlier. How did he managed to get in? If Diane's parents would find about him, she would be dead. I should check then and see if they're alright.

"Excuse me, I'll just go and check my friends and the other guests." They nodded in response, and then I stood up and walked away from the table, feeling relieved. Phew, I can't stay there any longer. Business, business, so suffocating!

"Jules! Finally you came to see us!" Katherine quickly stood up from her seat and walk towards me when she saw me halfway their table. When she reached me, she wrapped me into a bear hug.

"Missed me so much? We were together like 4 or 5 hours ago. What's with the hug?"

"Why? Is it wrong to miss you immediately? It's like they're taking you away for no good, you've been with them like for forever." She said, pouting and pointing towards the table where I just came from.
