I don't know how this happened if it was intentional or random, but it's definitely made me more aware. Since then, I've been on a social media purge as far as what I share and who follows me. I thought I was cautious before this happened but now I'd say I'm more alert. I apologize for removing all of the tags I've done and had saved to catch up and do, but my personal information doesn't need to extend that far. I'm tired of changing my online passwords too so hopefully this will limit the number of times I suspect someone had made changes to any of my accounts.
Anywho, so there was this guy and he was not welcome here. When I'd leave the house in the midmorning and also later in the day, I'd often notice a truck parked that faced toward my house's direction. I thought the location was odd if not suspicious, to say the least, because it was parked behind my neighbor's fence, it was secluded from the other street yet parked alongside the road (illegally facing traffic, might I add). I figured maybe it was someone visiting a house on my side of the street and they just parked across the street for special reasons.
I was wrong.
One day when I turned onto my street, I noticed there was a man sitting in the truck. I thought it creepy at best and wondered what I could do, which parent should I notify, and what course of action should I take, but by the time I got inside, I forgot about it. For some reason, it didn't stick in my brain every. single. time.
One day my dad came knocking on the door while I'm in the shower. He told mom he got the license plate and filed a police report. Then everything suddenly clicked in my mind. This guy was watching some house on this side of the road and we had a feeling it was me/my house.
One day it was kinda rainy and my mom went to look out the front door when she saw the same truck in the same spot. She watched him for a while and this time he got out the truck and stayed standing behind his door. I peeked through a window and saw he was balding. My mom called my dad who wasn't home so we called the cops.
Cops come and they appear to be all buddy-buddy with him. It took him forever but he finally left, then the cops came to speak with us. They gave us his reason for being there which mom and I really don't believe, so I told him that he's been sitting at certain times for hours at a time for about a week now. One cop raised his eyebrows. They said if anything else happens again to call them. I haven't seen the truck since.
So yeah, that was a warning for sure. I'd like to eat a grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla now but alas I cannot. Yum, that'd be really good right now.
