1.) Why do you write Marvel fanfiction?

Because of the complexity. I originally started writing it with my friend through accidental roleplay and wanted to create something my own. I started with Steve, then I hit a wall. I chose Bucky because of the depth of his character. As far as the timeline, I before The First Avenger because I didn't see too many fics about that (plus it's advantageous because it's inspired me to write beyond the first book). I continue to write, and rewrite, because this is an exercise that calms me and focuses me while exercising my mind. I often have troubles focusing so when I start working, I won't stop until I've hit a wall or exhausted myself. Sometimes that's early on. But this directly appeals to me in the way I function, to my love of literature, to my passion to inspire and motivate others, and to exercise my mental health/capacity.

2.) What has been, or is currently, your favorite book and OC to write?

I guess this one isn't very fair since I've only released one Marvel book. Out of all the ones in my drafts... A Broken Picture Frame is still my favorite. I hate to further be cheesy but Ruth is my homegirl. She was modeled after my looks and personality. However, her courage is what I strive for. She's simultaneously who I am and who I want to be.

3.) Who is your favorite canon character to write? Why?

Bucky. No, Steve. Wait... both. Outside of what I've posted on Wattpad, I have a Steve that goes back to the roots of who Steve Rogers is. True. Honor. Patriotism. Justice. Righteousness. It's like Scrawny Steve values with Supersoldier responsibility. He's beautiful. Then there's my Bucky who is very much struggling with recovery and rehabilitation (pre-Wakanda). He's so real because he wants to move on with life, to find his place, make new friends, be grounded again, but there's always some kind of conflict preventing him from doing so. PTSD, trust issues, arm issues, mental health, like he's just so raw and honest but he's also so bold to live according to how he wants to live and not letting his circumstances dictate him. He needs a lot of help but don't we all. And that's the point. Steve is a picture of rising to potential, Bucky reflects our struggles to achieve such.

4.) Who is your least favorite canon character to write? Why?

I'd say Bruce, maybe Tony. I want to give Bruce the flavor he so deserves but I also feel the MCU neglected his character a bit. Tony is hard because he is so fun but so sharp. It's a very fine line between sass and rudeness. To be honest, I haven't watched the Iron Man movies enough to be able to do some form of a character study on him. Not like writing down answers to questions but just like... character absorption, I guess. I love him but I just don't want to make him too soft or come off mean.

5.) A favorite scene that you've written?

Blargh, I have so many favorites. A Broken Picture Frame. Chapter 31- Hurt

Ruth sat on the arm of the sofa and looked at her scraped knee. Bucky licked his bottom lip and chewed on the peeling skin. Neither said a word allowing their words to settle.

She looked over her shoulder at him and smiled a little. Bucky fought it at first until his own smile finally won. He bowed his head giving it a small shake. She knew better than to use that against him.

Bucky's eyes lifted to the radio. He wryly smiled as he turned the dial. Ruth looked up at the gentle vocals of Billie Holiday singing the song she sang to Bucky so many time. Bucky's twisted little smile grew out as he opened his arms.
