hate.

it's such a strong word.

i never knew how much

it could hurt a person

when you say the words,

"i hate you."

i feel so feeble,

when i'm in your arms,

but even weaker,

when you let me go.

it hurts

when you tell me 

you'll leave,

but it hurts even more,

when you tell me

you don't love me.

what did i do wrong?

i tried to be the girl

you wanted me to be,

but all i'm left with

is your words,

"i hate you."

it's funny how much it hurts,

but it's even funnier

that i didn't believe it.
