Today, Dream is up in the daylight hours. He sits on his bay window, and stares below him. Children ride their bikes, young adults walk down the streets, and birds fly around, landing on power lines and the grass. He watches the same thing almost everyday, except for today. Today, he notices a white moving van pull into the house beside him. Huh, he didn't know that house was vacant.

He watches a family of three pull out boxes and furniture out of the van, and take it into the house. He watches one of them in particular; a soft-looking brunet teenager. He looks Dream's age, too. Dream admires the boy's hair and the way it curls at the edges. Dream frowns, he wonder what the boy sounds like. When Dream shrugs off his thoughts and focuses back on the guy, he jumps back to see the boy staring straight at him.

Dream places his hand on the window and leans forward, wishing he could see the boy's face in better focus. Dream grins when he waves at him, and Dream enthusiastically waves back. The boy continues unpacking right after.

Dream decides to study the boy's family. He watches the mom and dad interact, sharing a kiss and taking boxes from each other to carry into the house. The boy stares in disgust at them and then the mom walks over and plants a kiss on his cheek. The boy smiles and tries to playfully shove her off, then they immediately start bringing in boxes again. Dream wheezes and finally looks away from watching them. He then decides to text Sapnap.

"Yo, Sap, call me!" he texts to Sapnap who responds with an 'okay' a couple minutes later. Right after, his phone starts ringing. He picks it up, already knowing it's Sapnap.
"Listen, Sap. There's this new family that just moved in next to me. They have this kid that looks around my age. He saw me staring at them and waved and I waved back, but I feel that's going to be my only interaction with him. Dude, it can't be! He's so cute and has brown hair that looks so soft- and I just want to meet him so badly. He seems amazing." Dream rambles on about the kid next door. Sapnap chuckles into the phone, "He sounds great, Dream. Hopefully you'll meet him one day."

"Can't you like do something to get him to come to my house?" Dream asks eagerly. Sapnap sighs, "I can't just walk up to his house and demand him to go meet you, that's extremely weird." Dream's face falls, "Right."
"Look, Bro, I can see if he goes to our school and maybe talk to him. I can talk highly about you and maybe he'll ask about you. We'll see what happens, we just have to hope." Sapnap suggests. Dream agrees and takes a deep breath. All he has to do is have some hope.

"I've got to go, Sap, I have some work to finish. I love you. I'll talk later." Dream states.
"I love you too, Dre. Talk to you later." Sapnap says then ends the call. Dream sighs and flops on his back onto his bed. He closes his eyes and takes another deep breath. Hope, he has to have hope. He rolls on his stomach and grabs the work he has to finish and continues to work on it.

Even while he's busy doing work, he just can't get his mind off the brown haired boy that lives next door. His soft-looking self and brown hair. He'd love to see him up close and take in every detail of him, and run his hands through his hair. He'd love to take in every detail of the boy that is stuck in his mind. He'd love to just see the boy up close, he'd love to just talk to him. Dream sighs, this is weird, right? He just saw the dude, but it's understandable, he's never seen anyone he's interested in before.
