". . . and because of that, I have to leave and meet up with the superior authority. I'll entrust the safety of this prison to you guys while I'm gone.", Momoko said and looked at her officers around the big table in the meeting room. Everyone just nodded in silence at her statement. It wasn't the first time that she left Nanba, so everybody knew what to do during her absence.
After she got her guards agreements, the warden cleared her throat and sorted the papers in front of her on the desk. "That's all for today. You may leave." Without losing any word, all of the guardsmen rose up from their seats and left the room, leaving their boss lady behind with her documents.
Everybody, except for Ayumi. She stopped her tracks right beside her sister's chair and asked: "How long will you be out this time?" "Don't know. I think this issue will take a few days to be dealt with, maybe even a week.", Momoko answered without looking up from her sheets. Crossing her arms, Ayumi looked at her with a meditative expression on her face.
"Is it really that bad?"
"I presume. The superiors sounded really discomposed."
"You're sure that you're able to prove them wrong?"
"I'll try my best, but I can't promise you anything. Just wait and see how it'll turn out."
". . . Anything I can do to help you?"
With a soft smile on her lips, Momoko stood up from her seat and petted Ayumi's head. "No need to worry. I've dealt with worse problems than this one. Just make sure that the prison's still standing when I'll return."
Laughing about it, Ayumi nodded and promised her to pay heed to the jail and her colleagues in her place. That was enough to put the warden's mind at ease and to leave without any regrets. At least Ayumi thought so.

"Are you sure that you're okay without me? You know that you can call me anytime when you're having trouble or feeling lonely. Don't let Hitokoe pick on you, and by no means ever agree to any of his stupid plans! Go to bed in time and don't forget to eat and drink. And you should definitely watch out for . . ."
Ayumi sweat dropped as she looked at her older sister with a bored expression. She should have known that it wouldn't be so easy to get this woman to leave. With her arms crossed, she irritatedly tapped with her index finger against her own upper arm, waiting for Momoko to finally get into the helicopter. And all of this just because she had wanted to see her off – bad idea.
"You know what? Maybe I shouldn't go after all and convince the superiors to meet me here." As the blue-haired woman took out her phone to inform the authority about it, Ayumi snatched it away from her. "That's out of the question! Get into the chopper and get to your meeting already. I'll be fine, don't worry." Momoko looked at her, concern shown across her whole face. But as the blistering strict gaze of the younger one hit her, she just sighed in defeat.
Smiling weakly, she took her phone back and put it into her pocket. "You're right. I'm sorry. I just can't help but fret. You're my only sibling after all." Ayumi sighed and massaged her temple bugged. "Worrywart. When will you finally accept the fact that I'm not a toddler anymore? I'm capable to look after myself. If I wouldn't, what kind of supervisor am I?"
Chuckling, Momoko gently stroked the girl's hair, gaining herself a scrutinizing look from her. "Yeah, I know that. You're strong, determined, authoritative, and a hard worker. That's why I offered you this job.", she stated and brushed with her clothed fingers through the soft black hair.
