Imagine you and Tom had been dating for almost 2 years now.

You and him had recently gotten into an argument over something, you both knew it was stupid but it escalated so quickly that the both of you didn't know what to do apart from get more angry at each other.

You had been quite stressed recently because you had been fired from your job, no specific reason but your boss was just cutting down on staff.

Tom's career had been absolutely booming in recent weeks. With the release of Avengers: Infinity War, he was getting more and more recognition everyday and you felt like things weren't the same as they used to be.

After the argument a few days ago, Tom walked out of your shared apartment and had been staying with Harrison ever since.

You hadn't really spoken to him, and you hadn't spoken to Harrison much either, even though you were good friends with him.

You had just been at a job interview that day, but you didn't think it went well and you just wanted to go home and watch a movie and order pizza.

You were also missing Tom a lot but you didn't know how easily your situation could be fixed, as you both said some pretty cruel stuff to each other.

Once you reached your flat, you unlocked the door and dropped your bag and shoes next to the door. You went to walk into the kitchen and as you threw your car keys down on the counter, you noticed Tom stood by your little table, with it very neatly set ready for food, and a bunch of flowers in his hand.

You sighed at him, "What's this?" You questioned.

He slowly walked over to you and held the flowers out to you, "I'm so sorry Y/N. I said some horrible and pointless things to you which you really didn't deserve, and in all honesty I don't know why I said them-"

"Then why did you?" You interrupted him. He paused and thought for a moment before answering your question.

"Because I've been stressed out and worried about my career recently, and I took my stress out on you, and it really wasn't fair. I'm so sorry, and I regret every word I ever said."

You were grateful at what Tom had been saying, it was nice of him to pluck up the courage and apologise, and now you felt like it was your turn.

You looked down at the flowers that were still in his hand, and you smiled slightly at him as you took hold of them. "No, I'm sorry Tom. I think I've just been upset because I got fired, and because your career has been more successful than ever, and I'm not saying that I'm not proud of you because I am, I'm so unbelievably proud, but because everything was happening at the same time I didn't quite know how to deal with it. And I think I just used the argument as my excuse to let my feelings out, but it wasn't fair on you. I should have spoken to you properly before I brought any of it to an argument about something stupid."

You felt a tear drop down your cheek, and Tom came over to you, and he cupped your face in his hand and wiped the tear away.

"I'm so sorry," you whispered.

He pressed a small kiss to your forehead. "Me too.. me too."

You smiled as you wrapped your arms around his torso, and the two of you just stood there for a while, just happy to be back together.
