[ Benjie POV ]

"Hey, Benjie!" I heard someone called out my name. I turned around to see who it was. She's the cheering squad captain of CDSL. Naramdaman ko ang paghigpit ng kapit sa may braso ko ni Lorraine, my current girlfriend.

"What the heck does she wants from you, Benjie?" Inis na sabi nya habang papalapit ito sa amin.

"I don't know." I answered. It's the truth because I am totally clueless of what does she wants from me.

"Hey! Mabuti naman at huminto ka. I just want to ask if you can come to my house tomorrow night. You know, I will be hosting a victory party for winning the competition earlier."

"Excuse me?!" Lorraine butted in utter disbelief. Well, I couldn't blame her for it. Sya ang captain ng pumangalawa lang na team sa naganap na kompetisyon. Para kasing harap-harapang ipinamukha sa kanya ng kausap namin na mas magaling itong captain keysa sa kanya. "Bakit naman makiki-celebrate ang boyfriend ko sa iyo? What's your name?"

"I'm Venice Suarez, the captain of CDSL cheer squad but I think you know that already." She said and extend her hand to Lorraine na tinitigan lang nito at hindi tinanggap. Mukhang hindi naman napahiyang binawi na lang nito ang kamay at hinarap ako. "I'm your best friend's girlfriend."

I creased my forehead. So, sya pala ang latest ng tuod kong matalik na kaibigan? I smiled at her. Kung pupunta ako sa sinasabi nyang victory party bukas ng gabi ay malaki ang chance na makita ko dun si Tintin, after all isa ito sa mga cheerleader.

"Oh, sorry that I wasn't able to recognize you instantly."

"You're forgiven since isang beses pa lang naman tayo nagkaharap so okay lang na hindi mo ako natandaan." Sabi nya at tumango. "So, can you grace my party tomorrow? Sigurado namang pupunta si Polo bilang suporta sa akin na girlfriend nya."

I looked at her. I don't believe that statement. Walang hilig sa mga party o kahit na anong socialization ang best bud kong si Apollo. May sariling mundo kasi ang isang yun, eh. Pero syempre hindi ko sinabi sa kanya ang opinyon ko, bagkus ay, "Sure, I'll come over to grace your victory party with Polo tomorrow at?" I trailed off.

"Eight in the evening at Sitta Formosa Village." She supplied then gave me a wide smile. "I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. So, I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Bye."

"What was that, Benjie?!" Lorraine asked looking totally pissed.

Hinarap ko sya. "What?"

"Pumayag kang magpunta sa victory party ng kalaban ko? Hello? Girlfriend mo ako!"

I waggled my eyebrows on her. "Ano ngayon kung girlfriend kita? Girlfriend sya ng best bud ko so wala akong nakikitang mali na magpunta ako dun at maki-celebrate."
