[ Candy POV ]

I was talking to an aquaintance when I heard a woman's voice called out my name. "Candy."

I transfered my gaze to the voice's owner and saw, Katrina. The black dress that she's wearing shows off her voluptous curves. May akay-akay syang cute na little boy na nakasuot ng three piece suit. I think this is now the baby she's carrying in her womb before.

"Katrina." I said and gave her a small smile. Matapos kong makita kung gaano ka-cute ang batang lalaking akay nya ay bumalik ang guilt na naramdaman ko noon. Muntik na syang magkaroon ng miscarriage ng dahil sa pagsalyang ginawa ko sa kanya that led her to a nasty fall. Kung nagkataon wala ang cute na batang ito sa harap ko.

"I think it's about time that we have a proper introduction." Sabi nya ng makalapit sa akin sabay ngiti at abot ng kamay nya which I accepted and shook. "I'm Katrina Ruiz Alcantara, Benjamin's cousin in his father side."

"I'm Candelestine Garrido. You can call me, Candy."

After the hand shake ay nagbitiw na kami ng kamay. Katrina, prodded the little boy she's holding. "Tyler, go introduce yourself to tita Candy. She's mommy and ninong Benjie's good friend."

The little boy looked at me and offered his cute little hand for a hand shake. I laughed and looked at Katrina. She nodded at me and gave me an encouraging look which obviously meant that I should accept her son's gentleman act. I took his hand and shook it. "I'm Tyler Alcantara po, tita Candy. Nice meeting you. How are you po?"

"What a fine young man we got here." I said impressed. "Hi, Tyler. Nice meeting you, too. I'm fine, thank you. How have you been?"

"I'm good po." Bibong sagot nya at binitawan na ang kamay ko. Marahan kong pinisil ang pisngi nya tapos ay hinarap si Katrina.

"I'm sorry about what happened five years ago. I never really wanted to --"

"It's not your fault and I know that you didn't intend to do it. You're just mad and hurt that time so hindi mo nakontrol ang sarili mo sa bagay na nagawa mo. I understand at wala na sa akin yun tutal hindi naman napaano ang baby ko." She cut me off. "Ito nga at four years old na ang inaanak ni Benjie."

"I'm glad that you understand but still do accept my apology." I insisted.

Katrina rolled her eyes. "Apology accepted. So okay na tayo?"

"Definitely. Wala naman akong nakikitang dahilan para hindi tayo maging okay." Sabi kong nakangiti. Ngumiti din sya sa akin.
