Ty and Lauren were back home from a long day. They spent most of the day shopping for something to wear to the grand opening. Them getting noticed by some fans and of course the paparazzi held them up a bit. Now, they were sort of in the rush to get ready. The event was starting in almost an hour, but the couple were most likely going to be a tad bit late. That was mostly on Lauren's part because she never failed when it came to this. She sat in front of her large vanity, humming to herself as she applied her makeup. What seemed to be a minimum make up application seemed longer than necessary because Lauren just had to take her precious time.
"Okay, imma be downstairs messing around in the studio while you do your thing because we both know you're gonna take forever." Ty said after he was done putting on his watch and looking into the mirror.
"Whatever, I'm a woman and I'll take however much time I need." She sassed him, pulling out her lip gloss.
"But how do you show up late to something you helped put together." Ty asked.
"Shut up, we won't be that late." She rolled her eyes.
Ty threw up his surrender hands before he exited the room to go down to the studio.
After a while of sitting there, plucking the strings on his guitar, he heard the sound of rushed heels click-clacking down the stairs followed by Lauren's voice. "Okay, Mani. I'm leaving out the door now. Don't you dare cut the ribbon without me there." Lauren said into her phone, rushing into the studio room.
Ty let out a laugh because she barely had her jacket slipped on as she talked into the phone and nodded for him to come on.
"We won't be that late, remember." Ty mocked her as they rushed out of the house together and into the car.
"Zip it." She slipped her leather coat onto her body properly.
Lauren was able to finish the last of her makeup in the car and when she was done, she looked over at Ty while he drove, finally getting a chance to take in his attire. He was such a beautiful man. Her beautiful man. She smiled to herself as she looked down at her beautiful wedding ring for a second before her eyes were back on him.
"I can literally feel your eyes on me." Ty glanced over at her for a second.
"You just look so good tonight, baby." She complimented.
"So now you wanna be nice to me."
Lauren giggled before running her hand down his arm and then trailing it to his thigh and resting it there. "Sorry, I'll make it up to you." Her voice held that familiar seductive tone.
"What you tryna say?" He asked, knowing very well what she was implying.
"I'll let you have me wherever you want me tonight." She leaned over and whispered into his ear while she moved her hand that was resting on his thigh to the center of his jeans.
Ty got a bit choked up at her words. His words were somehow lost in his throat as he felt her teeth slightly grazing his ear lobe after she'd just whispered into it. He began imagining him and Lauren in all of the different places in their home. That was enough to turn him on.
He cleared his throat once "Babe, let me get us to the store before I have to turn this car around." Ty told her.
She snickered before she kissed his cheek, letting her lips linger there longer than usual before sinking back into her seat.
The crowd of people standing outside indicated that they were pulling up to the scene. Ty parked the car across the street before they both got out and walked hand in hand to join the crowd.
