Lauren's POV

"Holy shit this is incredible. You're amazing." I heard him compliment me after he read over my lyrics for the first time.

"Thank you so much. It means a lot." I smiled like a giddy child.

"Yeah, it's so good. Did you always write?" He asked me.

"Most of the time in my free time, yeah. Other than that, not really." I shrugged.

"Okay, cool. Now we just gotta get some melodies behind them, and I'll show you what I'm cooking up." He began messing around with something on his computer.

"Cool." I listened as the different beats he had blasted throughout the room, and I honestly felt so at peace.

Everything happening in my life before I walked into that studio building was put on pause as I let my creative juices flow in the room. After a while of deciding melodies for my songs, I decided to get in the booth to see how they'd be executed. I placed the headphones over my head and hummed to myself, reading from my lyrics as I waited for the beat to sound off. I closed my eyes and began singing, making sure I rode the beat exactly how I envisioned.

It went on like that for hours as we finished more songs and played around with the beats. I came out of the booth and checked my phone. Silently cussing to myself, I looked at the time and saw a bunch of missed calls from Ty. It clicked in my brain that Ryan was just let out of school and I lost track of time. I knew that had to be the reason Ty was blowing my phone up. Great, another thing to add on to the already shitty day I was having before I got in the studio.

"Can I step outside for a minute?" I asked as she looked up from my phone.

"Sure, go ahead." The guy shrugged before turning back to his computer.

I immediately left the room and began dialing Ty up. I prayed that Ty would pick up the phone since we literally hadn't talked all morning. There was no way he would be fine without talking to me at all the whole today.

"Come on, pick up the phone." I said after the third ring had passed.

I began pacing the floor and stopped when Ty finally picked up, on the last ring of course.

"Lauren, where are you?" He immediately asked.

"I'm at the studio. Please tell me you have Ryan. I completely lost track of time." I started to ramble.

"Yeah, I have him. I can't believe you, Lauren." Of course he's pissed with me. I was expecting that.

"Ty, please. I don't want to do this with you right now. Just put him on the phone for me." I could hear Ty telling Ryan that it was me on the phone.

"He doesn't wanna talk." He told me after a while.

"Fine. I'll just have to talk to him later. He has to go in time-out today. Are you headed back to the house?" I asked him.

"I have to now. I can't bring him to work with me. You know how that environment is. And what did he do?" He asked me next.

"He gave me such a hard time this morning because he didn't want to go to school. He literally threw a tantrum and his breakfast all over the seat." I explained to Ty.

"Ryan, is that true? You know that's not nice." I heard Ty ask him. I guess I was on speaker.

"You will apologize to your mom when she gets home, understood?" He then told him.

"Okay, daddy." I heard his small voice say.

"I guess I'll see you guys later." I told him.

"Okay, see you later." He said before hanging up.
