Lauren's POV
I put on a smile for the few cameras as I was mic'd up for an interview in a room backstage. My makeup was touched up before I was being introduced to the woman who would be asking me questions. I could tell she was a bit nervous as I shook her hand.
"Just so you get a gist of what this interview will touch on, I'll let you know. I just don't wanna catch you off guard with any questions." She said, her thick accent hiding underneath her almost perfect English.
I nodded my head as I listened to her tell me what we basically were gonna cover. My music, tour, my family, etc. The actual interview started soon after.
"Lauren, it's so good to be sitting here with you today. I must say, first and foremost, that the show you just put on was incredible. How did it feel to be out there after such a long time?" She asked me first.
"Thank you, um it felt amazing. I don't remember the last time I felt this good after a show. I guess it's because I was heavily involved in everything that ultimately went into the execution of my performance. Literally everything from the lighting to the sound because I'm a perfectionist at heart and just wanted everything to be right." I explained to her.
"Right, that must feel great that you're as involved as you can be, not only in the music, but everything that comes with it. This is like the first time you've stepped onto the stage, like I mentioned before, in a long time, and the response you got the entire night was just everything." She then mentioned, seeming to be shocked.
"Yeah, it is definitely important to me that I give my audience the best show I possibly can. I mean, these people support me more than anything, so it's only right. I'm truly grateful for each and every one." I smiled, thinking about the show and how overwhelmed I felt being on that stage.
"Okay let's touch on your music a bit. When are you planning to do a full length album? Is that something we should expect soon? Everyone wants to know." She chuckled, anticipating my answer.
"I will be doing an album. I've been in the studio so much and just letting my creative juices flow. It's really cool what I've been able to do so far, so why not share that with the world?" I shrugged as I answered.
"I certainly can't wait to hear more about that. I'll be the first to buy it."
"You're so cute. I'll need some proof of that when you do." I laughed.
"So you and Ty are obviously still going strong and have a handsome son together. How old is he now?" She brought up next.
"He's four, almost five."
"Can you tell us something we may not know about the little one?"
"See there's a lot of things I can say about him, honestly. He's very smart, like he enjoys school and learning new things. And he's also really just a bundle of cuteness....something he only got from his mother of course." I joked, flipping my hair over my shoulder.
"And Ty?"
"Ty's great too. He's been really encouraging when it comes to me wanting to pursue my music and makes me feel comfortable with taking risks." I smiled at the thought of him.
"That's good. I'm happy for you guys and wish you the best as you continue to shine on this journey as a solo artist, Lauren. I certainly can't wait to hear more from you."
"Thanks again. It means a lot." I said before I reached to shake her hand.
That interview was a great start, but I knew I had way more to get through before my day was over.
