Growing up downtown (August Alsina story)

Chapter 2

Kiara P.O.V
It was 9:30 and I was getting ready for this kickback. I wore this tube top dress that was black and my black sandals. I put my hair up in a half up, half down.

I walked outside and got into my car and drove to the location. When I pulled up I seen people sitting outside drinking and smoking. I grew nervous because I didn't know anyone here.

When I walked inside I saw the dude that invited me, he walked over and handed me a cup.  I smelt it and it smelt like Hennessy.

"No I'm good ion drink" I said and gave it back to him

"Nawl shawty you gotta loosen up. Aye aug come give shawty a drink" he said

I saw August and he looked like he was pissed off and tipsy.

"Yo Kyle leave ma alone. Kiara come in the kitchen there's some juice and water" August said

I walked in the kitchen and got a bottle of water and went outside and August followed.

"So Kiara tell me about yourself" he said

"Well I'm from Florida and I just moved to N.O I don't really go to parties because my parents strict. I like staying to myself because I been hurt too many times. What about you" I said

"Well I lost my brother at a young age, and I became cold hearted. I gave my life to the streets to provide for my family" August said

We sat out there talking till we heard gun shots. August pulled me down and shot back. I was scared for my life.

"Get up and come on so I can take you home. We'll get your car later"

I ran to August car and was still shaken up.

When August got in he put his hand on my thigh.

"You good you didn't get hit did you?" He asked

"N-no I'm fine" I said

I felt him kiss my lips.

"Shhh ma I got you from here on out" he said

I had mixed feelings and it was confusing asf. When I got home I hugged August goodbye and went inside .

"KIARA WHERE TF YOU BEEN AND WHOSE THAT BOY" my father asked

I walked up stairs because I wasn't in the mood to hear his mouth tonight. I stripped from my clothes and took a shower. I got a text from a unknown number.

Unknown: it's August. Stay safe ight 😘
Me: I will aug

I got into bed and laid down drifted off into my thoughts.
Was I really falling for a bad guy who I barley knew?
August P.O.V
I was at the kick back and was a little bit tipsy. I was watching girls dance and shake they ass like some hoes they were acting like.

I noticed Kyle was talking to Kiara and I saw that she was becoming irritated. Kyle called me over there and I took Kiara to get something to drink and we went to go sit outside.

When we went to go sit outside we was talking and getting to know each other better when we heard gun shots. I through my body over Kiara and started to shoot back.

I felt like it was these niggas from the other side and I wasn't feeling it.

I walked Kiara to my car and noticed how shaken up she was. I kissed her and made sure she was okay.
(Fast forward to when August gets home)

I was finally home and was sitting outside smoking me a blunt. I can't believe that I'm slowly catching feelings for Kiara. But I got a girlfriend and I'm going through some shit.

I gotta get my head right .
