Chapter 24

7 months forward

Kiara P.O.V
My due date was now a week from today and honestly this pregnancy went by fast. As for me and August were just on speaking terms. I don't think I could get back with him after what he done. I clocked out of work and drove home to get ready. I seen August car parked outside my door.

"Is it okay if I spend the night with you" August asked.

"Yeah sure, but you can sleep down stairs. There's a bathroom down there"

I walked up stairs and got ready for bed, I took my shower and washed my hair. After I was done, I walked into the baby room and just stood there.

"Alaïa you'll be here in less than a week" I said rubbing my stomach

"Although me and your daddy aren't getting along I promise to give you the world and anything you ask for" I said while wiping my tears.

"Kiara" August said

I turned around and he stood there with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I really am. I don't know how many times I have to tell you but I miss you. I don't know how we're gonna coparent. I love you and baby A so much" he said

"August, I love you I really do. But you cheated. You got another baby on the way, you left me when I needed you the most. I been working 40 hours a week just to get by, I went to doctors appointments alone. There's been nights where I couldn't sleep all because my back was hurting a baby A was moving around keeping me up. You don't understand how bad you truly hurt me. And I can't keep crying because she's feeling my emotions." I said while wiping my tears.

"Let's just go to sleep August"

I walked into my room and felt a gush of water come out of me.

"AUGUST MY WATER BROKE"

He ran into my room and drove us to the nearest hospital.

"Ok ms Kiara you 5 cm dilated. I'll give you about a hour or so and you'll be ready to push" the doctor said.

I payed there and just thought, I'm really finna have a baby. She coming a week early.

An hour passed and it was time for me to push my baby out. I grabbed August hand a prepaid for this moment.

"Ok Kiara on the next contraction you gonna push" the doctor said.

I felt the contraction coming so I started to push. I felt a whole bunch of pressure.

"Two more pushes Kiara"

"You got this Kiara" August said.

I pushed two more times when I heard crying.

"Look Kiara our baby here" August said

"A healthy baby girl, born at 10:30pm weighing 6lbs 5 oz" the doctor said.

I'm finally a mother.

A/N welcome baby Alaïa. I got the name from the ace family 🤞🏽💙 but this book only have a few more chapters because I'm running out of ideas.
