/Evelyn's Pov/

It was finally Friday and I had managed to make it through the week without making any enemies and everybody seemed nice to me, so I was happy. Although the one person who I wanted to get to know was being extremely weird. Issac. Every time I would even walk in the same room as him, he would leave or make an effort to avoid me. I haven't had any more "visions" since Monday in History and I still couldn't explain what had happened. I walked into my last class, History of Religion, and sat in the chair by the window. This class was really boring and I tended to daze off and look out the window, wishing I could explore the vast woodland, occasionally doodling in my notebook. The reason me and Ellie were even at this school was because her aunt taught all the religion courses here, including this one. Samuel, Lailah, Mal, Ellie, and Issac were all in this class, along with about 10 others. Samuel and Lailah sat on one couch and Mal and Issac sat on the other with Ellie at the chair near mine, Lailah or Ellie would occasionally pass notes to me, but Ellie's aunt was super strict and I did not want to get on her bad side. The only good thing about this class was the lack of desks and uncomfortable chairs, since it wasn't a "core class", all we had were hand me down couches and love-seats. Ms. Jophiel turned towards the chalkboard to draw some type of diagram of Heaven and I noticed Mal and Issac whispering about something serious. They both were making hand gestures and Issac briefly turned to me and they both stopped talking. I turned back to my notebook and started mindlessly drawing. Were they talking about me? I saw a crumpled note land by my feet and lifted my head in Lailah and Ellie's direction, but Ellie was organizing her pencil pouch and Lailah was drawing in the back of the textbook. I looked around the room until I saw Samuel staring right at me. I picked up the note and uncrumpled it. You look bored. Wanna get out of here?  I was confused why he would send me this, when he hadn't even said hi to me, but the thought of clearing up why he looked familiar and why he had been so cold with me so far, was too inviting. I looked up and he wiggled his eyebrows and I stifled a laugh. All of a sudden the fire alarm went off and we were led out of the room and out side onto the front lawn. "Alright, until we get all the classes out and reconvene, it will be a waste of time, so classes are done for the week. You all are dismissed." Ms. Jophiel said. People cheered and started running towards the dorms. "Told you." I heard Samuel said in my ear. I turned around with a smile. "That was pretty cool."I said, looking up at him. "I'm sorry I've been kind of rude to you. I'm just going through some stuff right now and I don't really want any friends." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's fine, but you shouldn't have to go through anything alone. I know we just met, but if you ever want to talk about anything, I'm in room 38." I said, smiling. "Thanks Ev-Evelyn." he said, slightly wincing as he almost called me Ev. "I'll see you around." he said, before practically running across campus to the dorms.

I had just sat on my bed, when Lailah barged in. "Get up! We're going to a party." she said, already opening my closet to look through my clothes. "Where is there enough room for a party, without us getting caught?" I asked, as I stood up. "The woods, duh. Jax is having a bonfire. The whole school is going." she said, as she pulled out black skinny jeans. "And there's gonna be guys there that we can scope out." she said, winking at me. "Ooo wear this." she said, throwing an off the shoulder sweater at me. We got dressed and did our makeup, before walking downstairs to the back. We saw a few people walking ahead of us, so we caught up to them. We walked pretty deep in the woods, before we saw the bonfire. It was huge and music was blaring as people were making out against trees and dancing around the fire. "Let's get some drinks." she said, walking towards the keg. She poured us two beers and we drank them while talking with Mal and some other people from our religion class.

"Well hello ladies. Glad you could make it, especially you." Jax said, as he walked up to us and winked at me. "Let's go for a walk Ev." he said, slipping his hand in mine. He barely took a step before Mal had my other hand. "I don't think so." Mal said, glaring at him. "We're just walking Malachi. It's not like we're going to fly away." he said and I was confused on why he called him by his full name, but he didn't seem to notice. He walked a little bit further away with me. "I'll be back shortly guys." I said, turning around so I was facing where we were walking. "So how was your first week?" Jax asked, as we walked further away from the crowd of people and I started to get a little anxious. "It was good, History of Religion is kinda boring." I said, kicking a twig at my feet. "That's ironic." he said, but changed the subject immediately. "Did you have a boyfriend at your old school?" "Yeah, but nothing serious." I said, remembering how I had never really felt anything with him, no matter how hard I tried. We stopped walking and now I was nervous. It was also starting to get very cold away from the bonfire. I now realized just how far away we were from the party, I could vaguely hear talking in the distance. He suddenly started backing me up against a tree. "I think we should head back to the party." I said, trying to turn around, not knowing which way was which. "I think we should stay here a little longer." he said, slightly kissing my jaw bone. "Get off me." I squeaked suddenly losing my voice. I tried to kick my leg up but he took that as me trying to get closer to him and he shoved his body against mine. "Stop, get off of me." I said, this time a bit louder as I squirmed in his arms as his lips connected to mine. He was thrown off me and I didn't care who or what had just saved me, I immediately started running.
