It was her first day. Neela was super excited for her first day at Amalgamation High School. But what she had dreamed of her first day wasn't as well done as she thought.

"Neela! Neela get out of bed and get dressed!" her mother yelled from the other side of the door. Neela groaned, and stood from her bed, her satyr body of fluffy from static electricity. She rubbed her eyes, as she gained focus of the grey-blue room with white lining at the bottom of the walls. Her fan was on, blowing cool air throughout the otherwise hot room. She walked tiredly top her bathroom to brush her teeth and long, black hair with purple tips.

After doing this, she put her hair up into a messy bun, some of her hair falling out at the sides of her face. She walked out of the bathroom and into her closet, a walk in closet that mostly consisted of jeans and long sleeve shirts. Neela, not caring about what she wore, randomly grabbed a pair of denim jeans and a red hoodie. She changed, and put on a pair of black sneakers to help hide her goat hooves. Neela was extremely cautious when it came to her race. She usually didn't like to talk about it.

After Neela was fully dressed, she left her closet and went to her desk to grab her phone and book bag. She glanced at her clock; 5:30. Satisfied that she wouldn't be late, she left her room, turning off the fan and lights.

"Neela! Come get your breakfast!" her mother called to her from the kitchen. Neela walked into the kitchen, setting her stuff down on a chair.

"I'm here, I'm here," Neela said with a slight yawn to her mother. Her mother was also a satyr, but she spent most of her time in the house, so she wouldn't understand wearing pants over her goat legs. Neela grabbed a piece of toast that her mother, Andria, had put on butter on and went to sit at the table in the dining room. Andria came over a few minutes later, sitting next to Neela with a bowl of cereal.

"Are you excited for your day?" she questioned enthusiastically. Neela took a bit of her toast.

"Yes, I'm excited! I'm going to the best magic school there is!" Neela exclaimed once she had swallowed her food. Her face seemed to light up when her mother asked that. Andria smiled and hugged her daughter proudly.

"Well then, you better get going if you don't want to be late," Andria said, letting go of the hug and standing so Neela could stand. Neela stood from the table and hugged her mom again.

"Have fun, Neela," her mother told her. Neela let go of the hug and grabbed her stuff.

"I will mom!" Neela called out and then left the house for school.

By the time Neela had gotten to school, the time read 6:45. She had enough time to get to the front office before the first bell. Neela walked with pride to the French, glass doors of the school and opened them, walking in.

Neela noticed the front office not too far from the doors, so that's where she went first. She walked all the way to door with a stained glass window reading Office. Neela opened it and stepped inside.

Once inside, Neela glanced around. The room's walls were a light grey and had school posters on them. There was a desk not too far from the door where someone was sitting.
