Jughead's POV

"Hey, Betty, about that artic-" I was cut of by surprise.

"Ohh, hi Jug." She pulled away from Archie's and hers kiss.

"I, I gotta go." I said and hurried out of the Blue and Gold. I thought her feelings for him was just a stupid crush, but apparently not. I had always had feelings for Betty, but I thought that was, like Betty's, a stupid crush, but if hers in fact wasn't, maybe mine was real too.

I sat down in my regular spot in the cafeteria, but distanced myself from the new couple.

"Hey Jug, what was the whole Blue and Gold scene about?" Betty asked.

My palms started to sweat a bit.

"I got a text from dad, that's all." I lied.

"Are you sure?" She continued.

"Yea..." I followed.

She let out a sigh and started to talk about prom dresses with Veronica. Yeah, I forgot to tell you. Prom is in a month, and I was going to ask Betty, but that was kind of impossible now.

Archie leant over and kissed her on the cheek, she giggled, and gave him a long lip lock . I looked down on my burger, trying to distract myself. I started to drink making a loud slurping sound, which was enough for them to stop kissing.

"What is it Jug?" Betty said, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm just drinking my drink." I answered simply.

"Okay, Jughead, what's up?" Archie said.

"I'm just tired, and I'm late to English class." I said, trying to get away from Archie.

"Mr. Jones!" Mr. Andersen yelled.

"Yes?" I looked up from my desk.

"I asked you a question, and I expect you to answer!" He yelled.

"I'm sorry, what was your question?" I said with a smirk.

"When is your new homework due?" He said sharply.

"Monday?" I tried.

"No, no, no!" It's due Friday!" He continued to yell.

When I walked home I thought about today's events. Betty and Archie was a couple, I wasn't able to focus and Veronica couldn't stop talking about 'how cute they were'. To sum it up, I hated all of it.

When I came home a new scene was inside the door. Dad had cleaned up all the bottles, and fixed the whole trailer up.

"Where's Betty?" He said.

Yeah, I was supposed to ask her to prom today, but I hadn't been able to, because of her new boyfriend.

"Probably with Archie." I said as I dumped down in the sofa.

"Why?" He sat down beside me.

"Apparently they're a thing now." I said sadly.
