In the middle of the vast ocean
There was a boat adrift
With its sailor tied to its sail,
Trapped in its ropes
Waves too big to comprehend
He couldn't do anything
No one there to save him
From the storm
Bound to the one he loved
He never needed anyone else
Only his boat, his beloved boat
The two could brave the currents
Though in desperation, beliefs change
He was never a child of God,
But then he prayed as he looked
To the heavens
Except, there was no one
Behind those gloomy clouds
To listen to his cries for mercy
His begs for forgiveness, a saviour
I heard his thoughts
But was rendered useless
I can't move, I can barely breathe
Help me, is there someone out there?
He was losing sanity
While the waves broke
Above his head
He gulped for air
He made movements
Reminiscent of a fish
Who swam a little bit
Too close to the riverbank
He tried to escape his sail
To wiggle out of the ropes
That held the thing he loved
Together
And the thing he'd die for
He dies by
It's ironic.
