Chapter 3: A Choice

Davina's POV

"I will", I reply with. Klaus just nods and goes back to his spot.

"Look who's awake.", Hailey speaks as a little girl walks out from behind her. She must be Hope, she's very pretty.

"Hello.", Hope says shyly perhaps because its the first time meeting all of us. Will they stop looking and say hi back.

"Hello.", Klaus replies to Hope softly. Wow for someone who's always loud and threatening this sure is new. Oh right, she's heard of everyone but me. I look at Hailey as if asking for permission she nods and moves Hope forward.

"Hi, I'm Davina Claire, it's nice to meet you, Hope.", I greet her moving up closer. I could tell not everyone trusted me to be around them since from what happened. I would never hurt a child, I may have my fair share of bad deeds but that is something I could never do. Kol also comes to say hi to Hope.

"Hello Hope, I'm your Uncle Kol.", Kol says with a smir while squatting down to be on the same level as Hope. It's so cute. I wonder what it would be like if Kol was a father. No stop it, Davina! Kol can't have children, don'tgive yourself false hope. You can be happy without children.

"Hi, is Davina you're girlfriend?", Hope asks as she tilts her head to her left to look at me while waiting for Kol to answer.

"Yeah she is." Kol replies looking up at me and then getting up. He smiles down to Hope and then gets out of the way for everyone else to meet Hope. Kol extends his hand and I grab it and we walk by the garden and touch some flowers. The house was big and remote. Oh right I need to ask Kol for his phone to call Marcel.

"Kol, can I borrow your phone to call Marcel?, I ask while I touch a Lotus flower I'm trying not to push him about Marcel.

"Okay, here.", Kol says calmly which is a surprise since he doesn't like Marcel. Well dislike is an understatement. I'm glad he didn't start getting paranoid about me not trusting him. This is him being mature and trusting me. I grab his phone and go to the call app. I dial his number and it starts ringing.

"Hello, who is this?, Marcel asks after picking up. Kol looks a bit frustrated but he's holding it in well by distracting himself with the flowers in the garden.

"Hi, Marcel how are you?", I reply knowing he'll know I'm okay with hearing my voice.

"Davina, are you okay, where are you I'll come get you right now." Marcel says with his voice full of worry.

"Calm down, I'm okay, don't worry, I'm actually going on a trip for a while.", I say trying to reassure him that nothing bad has happen to me.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT TO WORRY YOUR WITH THE MIKEALSONS RIGHT NOW THE SAME PEOPLE WHO KILLED YOU?? DON'T YOU REMEMBER?I SW-, Marcel starts yelling but gets cut off by Kol who grabs his phone from my hand and starts talking cleary annoyed at Marcel for yelling at me. Also talking bad about his family and him.

"She's safe with me, that's all you need to know.", Kol spoke then hung up and roughly shoved his phone in his pocket.

"Kol c'mon he's only worried about me.", I tell Kol a bit annoyed that he hung up.

"Love I'm sorry, let's go in and eat breakfast okay?", Kol asks as he cups my face."

"Okay.", I say and we head back in. When we enter everyone was already eating. Hailey pointed to the plates we just served ourselves and went to sit down. Well, this is kinda awkward. All of us eating breakfast together, civilly, but I like it. Freya clears her throat.

"Davina, I wanted to apologize to you about yesterday and what I did five years ago.", Freya apologizes to me, and I'm thinking of a way to respond. Kol glances at her then at me and puts his hand on my hand, instantly calmy me down a bit. 
"Thank you for your apology.", I respond the only one who hasn't apologized is Elijah. But I suppose I won't get an apology anytime soon.
"I wasn't trapped with the ancestors for a long time; I met someone who helped me and brought me back to life.", I begin clarifying Kol looking at me, waiting for me to continue. I take a breath and look at my plate.
"The end being is that I'm alive.", I tell I don't want to cause a scene remembering my time with him.
