Isama was rambling about dreaming to be a Disney princess to Layla and then grew up to think they were lame, taking Layla's full attention, even though it was bed time.
"They always fall in to boys arms, but the thing is I don't fall, Sebastian always falls on me making me fall down when we are moping for aunt."
"What was your aunt's name?" Layla asked.
"I don't know, never told us her name." Isama said with a shrug.
Their conversation was later disturbed by Asaad's loud grunt, making Layla to stand up and Isama to pause the story.
"what's wro-" Layla started but saw the mess all over made by the one and only.
"Tripped."Asaad said cutting short of a long conversation, Layla nodded going to grab the tissues to wipe the liquid substance dripping form asaad's Tomford shirt, when she saw how it spread more, she told him to just change.
Coming out of the restroom, was Asaad with a similar shirt to which he wore earlier, Layla smiled at her prediction of what he was going to wear.
"I picked out a tie." She said, he turned to look at the tie, making him smile. "you knew?" Asaad asked surprised that she knew he always wore the tie with the shirt.
"I'm your wife I know what you do before you do it." Layla said pride dripping from her words.
"More like my mom." he coughed, chuckling at Layla's reaction by hitting him playfully on the shoulder.
Layla reached over his slightly broad shoulder to wrap it around, making Asaad take in her mesmering scent of the Lillium fragrance sprayed on her.
He held her hand immediately it made contact with his chest, a swarm of butterflies having a party in her stomach. Holding her waist, he pulled her even closer, her yes lifted up to meet his intense and deep one's, making an unwanted sigh to leave Layla's lips.
Slowly, he inched in, placing his fingers under her chin to lift her face up. Their intense breathing fanning each other's face, breath, by breath, the contact was a centimetre away to be made.
The sound of the opening the door, made them stop and move with a quick and timid motion.
"Aunt Layla, I can't sleep, I'm scared my aunty is going to come and find me." Isama said in her bold yet innocent voice.
Asaad scooped her up in his arms then dropped her on the bed, tickling her continuously making her laugh uncontrollably.
"Uncle please stop." Isama said when she finally caught a breath.
"Okay, but you have to promise you'll sleep Peacefully if Layla sleeps with you."Asaad said emphasizing on the peacefully, cause lately she didn't get much of the sleep a nine year-old needs.
"Promise." Isama said holding up her pinkie for a pinkie swear. Asaad interweaved their pinkie's with a reassuring nod from Asaad.
Layla held her hand with a smile on her face to help Isama to stand up from the bed, on spur of a moment, Asaad pecked Layla's cheek, Isama receiving hers too.
"Make sure you recite your dua(prayer) before going to bed "Asaad said to Isama but his eyes were on Layla's heated cheeks.
12:30 amLayla heard the door open, and she knew exactly who it was, soon the handsome lad appeared in the living room.
"salamu'alaikum." Asaad greeted with his husky voice that screamed fatigue. Turning to see the figure sitting on the couch, he became surprised.
"You waited?"
"yep." She said patting down a place for him to sit, he sat and she handed him a cup of tea, just what he likes after a long meeting.
"How was the negotiation?" She asked sipping her own cuppa.
"It was long, very, very long, but it was better than I expected, I went in with hope for 34%, but I got 42.7%." He said relief filled his words.
"Well, Alhamdulillah....."Layla trailed.
"You want to say something?..."Asaad trailed too.
"Um..yeah, About Isama, I-I don't think we should give her away, I mean she's gone through-"
"Okay, wifey it's okay. I like Isama, very outgoing and respectful, and don't forget I named her I cant let her go just like that."
She kept her cuppa aside and went in for a hug, receiving a tight one, Asaad inhaling her coconut oil scented hair, with a hint of strawberries.
"I was really hoping you'd say that, thank you, truly I love Isama."
"hey! Don't give her all the love our own are still coming."Asaad teased, resulting to a blushing Layla.
"There is plenty of love to go around." Layla said shining her pearly whites.
"Good, I think we should call it a -
*Scream*
Layla quickly got off the couch and headed straight to where the sound was coming from, Asaad followed very quickly.
"She's going to kill me *scream* she's going to-*scream*" Isama screamed with every possible might she had, the woman that brought her nightmares was right in front of her holding a knife. Isama continuously banged the door hoping for escape.
The door burst open with Layla's terrified face, rushing to Isama and holding her, tight.
"Isama! Isama! I'm here It's Layla, she is not here, breath, bre-"
Crying, Isama tried to break through Layla's hold." I need to run. Leave...run before she catches you! she bringing her knife! she's bringing her knife! she's bringing her*scream*......"
