On Monday morning I rushed out to the bus stop, halfway to the bus stop he stopped when he saw me and waited until the bus came to walk the rest of the way. I went in First, he avoided my wave and sat at the back. I got up and took the seat next to him. He looked confused, "hey," I said. He didn't speak and sat confused and awkward.

"I'm sorry about avoiding you at school," said with my head down.

He didn't look at me.

When I tried to make conversation he would look out the window.

I tried to talk to him at breakfast and got scared out of my shoes when Neil came to the table.

"What is she doing here," when Antonio didn't answer Neil say and became a new member of the awkward silent staring contest we started.

On my way from P.E. I saw Antonio who obviously saw me as he ducked back into the classroom. I wasn't going to let him go this time, I ran in the classroom and closed the door behind us. Antonio stared at his feet, shifting as if he was going to run out of the class. Then had the nerve to try and walk past me, I payed my hand on his chest, "Sit."

He sat

"At first I understood but now your just being rude, I came here to say sorry and shouldn't have looked down on you, but would you at least look at me." I said.

He looked to his left, when my eyes followed his, I saw Neil look at me then Antonio. "Might as well hear her out she's not leaving," Neil walked out. Then Antonio stood too and walked towards the door, I ran in front of him.

"At least let me prove myself."

Antonio looked at me as if I had lobsters crawling from my ears, then looked at the ground.

"Give me time," he walked out of the room and saw Neil outside of the room, he motioned me to go after Antonio.

The bell rung.

I stepped out into the hall and ran to Antonio, I grabbed his shoulders and turned him around, "Come to homecoming with me."

He took my hands and placed them to my sides. "Stop this, your friends are looking," he said with his head down. I looked around and saw the stalker squad looking around the corner.

I grabbed his face and forced him to look into my eyes, "No you stop."

"Who am I," I said pointing at the stalker squad, "Who are they to make you feel any any less than what you are."

All through the rest of the week I thought about my conversation with Antonio. Was what I said enough for him to forgive me? Of course not I couldn't even forgive myself. With homecomings coming tomorrow I was nervous and continued to wonder if he would show. I picked out a dress with my mom, a dark blue with a silver belt and heels.
