The refreshing breeze, the cloudy sky, the lush grass—everything was perfect. Hogwarts students littered the outdoor gathering area, you and your close friend, Namjoon, situated in a secluded spot enjoying the fresh air.

"You know, if you think about it everyone here at Hogwarts is the same. Sure we're sorted into houses based on our personalities and our character, but at the end of the day what makes us so different?" Namjoon inquired.
"Wow. You're right, Joon." You murmured thoughtfully, lying your head on your folded arms. "I've actually thought about that myself."
"You have?"
"Yeah. I wish that houses wouldn't rival."
"By houses you mean Gryffindor and Slytherin, right?"
"Yep. It's especially sad to see Jungkook and Yoongi butting heads all the time. I can tell they hate each other—Yoongi more than Jungkook."
"Yeah, but Jimin and Jungkook get along just fine." He pointed out.
"That's because he's a sweetheart. Yoongi is stubborn and won't let anyone be friends with him unless they're in the same house as him."
"Aren't we his friends though?"
"I'm still not sure. He approaches us on his own, so maybe." You shrugged. "He seems really iffy about be friends with people from other houses. Especially Gryffindor."
"I'm sure he'll come around." Namjoon said.
"Yeah. Maybe."

You glanced over at Namjoon, silently admiring how handsome he was. Not only was he good-looking, but he was so smart and philosophical to boot. You admired him for that. It was fascinating how he related some of the most mundane things to life experiences, always looking for the beauty and the metaphors in life. Some of his musings had also made you ponder a bit more about various things and the purpose of certain ways of life.

Sensing that someone was staring, Namjoon turned his head and met your lingering gaze, offering you a gentle smile that showed off his dimples. You couldn't help but return the grin, finding his warmth contagious.
"What is it, Y/n?" He inquired in a soft voice that was smooth as silk.
"Nothing." You gave a shake of your head and directed your gaze elsewhere. "You just look nice today."
"Oh." He was clearly caught off guard by your compliment. "Thanks."
Sparing a glance his direction, you could've sworn you saw his cheeks tinting pink. Then again, maybe you were imagining it.

"Hey."
The voice pulled you and Namjoon from each of your thoughts and you looked up to see Yoongi standing over the both of you.
"Hi." You greeted.
"Have a seat, Yoongi."
The Slytherin obliged and dropped down on the grass, exhaling a small sigh.
"Hey, are we your friends?" You inquired curiously, the question on your mind since you and Namjoon had briefly discussed it moments earlier.
"No." He snorted.
"Why did you come over here then?"
"Uh. I don't know."
"You approached us. That must mean something." Namjoon pointed out.
"Okay fine. I guess you're my friends. I wanted to hang out with someone." He admitted. "I've got like fifteen minutes kill before my next class."
"Aw. Yoongs is a softie." You teased.
"I'm not a softie."
"Yoongi is a softie?" Jimin's voice seemingly came out of nowhere, having been nearby and picking up part of the conversation.
Glancing up, you saw the cheerful and friendly Slytherin approaching, making himself comfortable in the grass beside Yoongi.
"He sure is." Namjoon grinned. "He just admitted that we're his friends."
"Aw." Jimin cooed, giving his fellow Slytherin a pat on the shoulder. "Look at you stepping out of your comfort zone."
"So, when will you admit that Jungkook is your friend too?" You asked Yoongi.
"He's never gonna be my friend. He's a filthy Gryffindor."
"We're all the same, Yoongi." Namjoon stated.
He then proceeded to go off on his philosophical explanation about how students shouldn't hate each other for something so silly because you're all just people at the end of the day. All the while, Jimin was listening intently, nodding every once in a while in understanding and agreement. Yoongi, on the other hand, looked bored out of his mind and unwilling to hear the Ravenclaw out.
"And I think that's no reason to dislike someone." Namjoon finished his tangent and Jimin gave him an immediate round of applause, moved by the small speech.
