The worlds end ( Shawn Mendes x male reader )

The injury

You wake up to loud bangs on the door of the bunker. You rub your eyes and move your hair away from your eyes. You see Shawn perk up and throw the covers away from him and run upstairs to the door in nothing but his underwear. You rub your eyes and yawn

" wtf... "

  you say extremely tired. Shawn peaks from the stairs

" it's okay baby.. go back to sleep.. and close the door.. "

  he says knowing something bad is about to happen. You quickly catch on to the tone of his voice and get up

" I'm not letting you face whatever that is alone! "

  you say clenching a fist. Shawn looks at you

" babe.. please stay back I don't want anything happening to you. "

  he says and walks up the stairs and listens threw the door.

* B A N G * *B A N G *
  shawn takes a deep breath and swings the door open. The instant smell of rotten flesh and burnt houses fill your nose. Shawn looks around when someone jumps out at him tackling him to the ground and ends up falling down the stairs with him. Shawn grunts and tussles with the person sometimes being on top and sometimes on the ground. Your eyes widened as you watch for a second realizing the person or "thing" that is attacking Shawn has some green skin and isn't making normal human noises. You realize whatever that is.. it's not a human. You quickly grab a knife and run at the creature

" ARGHHH! "

  you scream and stab at it. You back up and the creature pulls the knife out of its back and licks the blood.

" what..the fuck.. "

  you say and back up. The creature grunts and stabs Shawn in the shoulder

" YOU FUCKER! "

  you shout and grab the things torn clothes and pull it back managing to get the creature off of Shawn as he sits there screaming in pain. Your eyes shift to Shawn

" HOLD ON SHAWN! "

   you say. You look around the room in a panic your hair falling in front of your face when notice a bat Laying near the stairs. You take the bat from the corner near the stairs and bash the creatures head in with it. It doesn't seem to die from it as It manages to crawl away back outside. You quickly drop the bat and lock the door running back down the stairs to Shawn. You look at his wound.

" Shawn.. I have to take this out buddy just bite this! "
  you say and rip a sleeve of your sweater off and put it in his mouth. You wrap you hands around the knife and pull.

" ARGHHHHH! "

  Shawn screams. Tears brim your eyes since it hurts to see him in such pain.

" I'm sorry buddy.. "

  you say and throw the knife in the sink and rush back to tend to his wound. You quickly wrap the sleeve he was biting around his shoulder, stopping the bleeding. Shawn looks at you a bit pale

" baby?? Is it gone? "

  he says a bit weary. You smile and kiss his forehead

" it's all okay shawn I took care of it! "

    you say and try to lift him up and put his arm around your shoulder dragging him over to the bed placing him down placing a wet towel on his forehead. You lay down next to him as Shawn sleeps. You smile and kiss his cheek

" goodnight buddy.. "

you say and pull the covers up and snuggle up next to him.

* the next day *

Shawn wakes up groaning in pain. You quickly rush over to him from the kitchen and lay him back down

" just lay down.. you need to rest I will make you some soup! "

  you say and rub his hand walking away into the kitchen cooking some soup up for Shawn then handing it to him while he slowly sits up. You run your fingers threw his hair

" hope you like it bud! "

  you say handing him a spoon. He giggles a bit

" I'm sure I- "

  he stops and clenches his teeth. Your face turns to concern

" what's wrong? "

   you say checking the wound making sure it's wrapped right. Shawn looks at you

" just some pain.. "

he says and goes to eat the soup. You sigh in relief. Shawn looks up from the bowl and stares at you in confusion

" I don't know how you got rid of that thing.. I thought we were dead honestly.. "

  Shawn says kind of disappointed that he couldn't completely protect you. You giggle a bit

" you know Shawn.. I may be small but I can defend my self.. when it tackled you in the first place I stabbed at it! Then when it stabbed you I pulled it off of you and smashed its face in with a bat! "

  you say happy with yourself

" the only thing is.. is that it got away.. I don't know what that " thing " was but it wouldn't die! So it managed to crawl up the stairs and out the door. "

  you sigh. Shawn looks at

" if it comes back I will give my life to save you.. "

  he says slurping up the soup. You frown

" Shawn stop pushing yourself! "

you shout

" you don't need to give your life to protect me! It wouldn't matter to me if I lived if I saw you die! Don't you get that! I wouldn't wanna go on in the this hell of a world without you! Now stop trying to put me before yourself and think about you! "

  you say and walk out of the room shutting the door behind you. You brew a batch of tea and sit in the living room turning the tv on and putting in a old Friday the 13th movie. You sigh to yourself and take a sip from your tea and watch the movie as you think to yourself about the past and what the world used to be..
